A Good Medium/fast Heavy For Div 3?

I mostly pilot mediums and faster heavies and am also doing so in Solaris. I'm doing ok in most divisions (able to hold above 1500 elo, even going up in some divs. Yes even in Div 1 the SRM Huntsman does ok at 1500 elo).
All except for div 3. I've tried an SRM shadow cat, SRM stormcrow, lbx/srm roughneck, uac cataphract and they all fail against other players who seem to be around my skill level in terms of aim and movement. I haven't tried the srm linebacker yet but given my experience with that in QP I expect it to perform worse than the stormcrow. I've looked the other mechs in the division and they don't look promising (catapult ears are to easy to take off, the marauder doesn't have a ballistic slot, the bushwacker has good hardpoints but not enough armor for the division, hard to brawl with a jagermech without lower arm actuators, etc). The Orion is promising but I don't have a good experience with that in QP (it seems a bit short on firepower, though it has good armor).
The only way I've been able to keep a 1.0 wlr is by piloting an MRM Battlemaster, and piloting that gets old fast. Slow mechs just aren't my style. I can do OK in them but get bored really quickly.
Any suggestions on a good medium/heavy in div 3 would be welcome.

Interesting. I'll give that a try. What's the mrm count on that? 60 or 70? Also do you take lasers? I'm assuming it's a left side build.

That was my worry there too. Just 2xLBX10, no missiles? I thought of doing that but the damage seemed weak for div 3. May give it a try.

Dragon is a viable option. My MRM Pretty Baby does well against KGC's and moves decent given it's size. Roughnecks are decent platforms as well.

What would you put in a Dragon for S7? Ac2s or uac2? Do AC5 even stand a chance dps wise? I assume you'd have to use the unlocked arms free look trick to make it work. I don't have much experience in a Dragon myself.
I'll try the Linabacker later but the locations of the srm hardpoints are way too spread out that in quickplay I end missing a lot of shots that I would otherwise have hit.

Ideally hovering 200-300 meters away, minimizing exposure. Once the enemy is sufficiently torn up, if my own condition is favorable, I'd move in for the kill. Otherwise I'd continue to stay afar and chip them to death. I feel like an SRM Linebacker would be a decent counter to me, but due to lack of jets and a larger profile is disadvantaged against some of the other mechs in the division.

MRM60 with 4xML.
This works really well! I had to downgrade the lasers to 2ML 2SL to get an extra heatsink in, but its pretty good against king crabs. I went with a STD engine too so I can conpletely sacrifice the right side with no heat penalty. Thanks for the suggestion.
