Have you actually put a stop watch on it? (or is this thread all hyperbole?)
Initial loading when the game first starts seems to be like 30 seconds but could be less ... I will time it the next time I get a chance. Return to the mech lab after a match doesn't seem any slower than it used to be and that doesn't seem particularly slow (less than 10 seconds? Again I will time it when I play again).
I have 95 mechs and 99 mech bays. I'm running on older hardware (6 year old AMD Phenom2 X4 965) though a Radeon 380X video card.
Since a match averages about 7 minutes ... are you really sitting waiting for 7 minutes for the UI to load after a match or when the game first loads?
P.S. In my experience the initial load time is longer than it used to be .. maybe due to loading assets for the revised mech bay ... but I've honestly seen worse load times in other games over the years.

Haven't put a stopwatch on it, but my lobby load is ~1 minute from log-on to lobby + about 30 seconds to the log on screen -- and in Solaris at least (haven't QP since it launched) right about 2 minutes from the end of a match back to the lobby IF windows doesn't decide that MWO isn't responding and crash the program.
It's actually faster to just exit the game at the end of a match and restart the program, even with the slight additional load you need to do to pop back into the Solaris lobby. Much faster if you have to deal with the program crashing out and the additional time to for windows to prep a crash dump.
Wouldn't be so bad if you could do something on another screen when dumping back to the lobby, but that seems to result in a timeout crash about 80% of the time because for some reason the game refuses to load in the background.

Include a 5 minute infomercial at the start hosted by the PGI devs explaining that they are aware of the problem with load times and are "working hard" on the problem.

If I had 100 c-bill per second of loading screen my c-bill counter would be close to 999,999,889 c-bills. I'd spend more if there were more IS light mechs going 130-160kph. Gotta go fast and have my high risk righ reward death machine.

I have a decently fast computer using Optane memory booster, and the load times are still insane. PGI, this is a quality of life issue that will make me turn off MWO soon!
