Adding another skill tax to make AMS competitive should not be one of them. I don't disagree, necessarily, with your proposal, but why not just increase the base ammo per ton if it's a problem?

Umm... noone made a proposal to add another AMS skill. They were saying to have the existing Mag Cap skills to also effect AMS ammo.

You could say that about literally any skill, really.
Why add a skill tax to having more armor, just give everyone more armor! Why add a skill tax for agility, just raise base agility! Etc. Etc.
It's a matter of letting the player choose which parts of their mech they want to amplify compared to the baseline.

I think that you and Anthom misunderstood me. I'm OK with this proposal but, does AMS really need this? Like AMS overload why not just increase the baseline damage or ammo per ton? Knowing PGI, they'd very probably split the magazine capacity quirks in half, to a total of 4, to accommodate this change.
