Just a shout out to a Div4 Solaris player. Sadly I don’t remember their name but here is what happened.
I started the game and my mouse failed as I was looking low and behind. At this point no shots had been fired so I typed to my opponent that my mouse had failed. Instead of coming straight at me to secure the win, they gave me time to try and trouble shoot. When I couldn’t get it working they offered to draw the game. Wow how is that for good sportsmanship?
In the end, I headed for the centre (hit a bunch of walls on the way lol) and asked them to kill me rather then wait. So this is a shout-out to this player’s good sportsmanship and to all players who display such good conduct.

Yep, MWO has more mature playerbase than the average shooters.

I think the sportsmanship is almost the entirety of Solaris - you're not getting anything close to the rewards from QP/FW in c-bills or XP and such and you're really just looking to duel. There's no enjoyment for most folks in kicking someone while they're down like that. I've seen my share too. Good stuff.

I had a similar thing happen to me on the first day of Solaris; my keyboard glitched out, and after I told my opponent about it in chat, he gave me time to fix it before resuming the battle.

Indeed that is EXACTLY what good sportsmanship is, not spurting "gg" at the end of a game. Good show that player!

I have myself as well as my opponent ran dry on ammo or been effectively disarmed.
In all instances we've ceased movement and surrender to destruction with a "gg" and a "take me out" affirmation.
That said, I appreciate the opponent who goes for the quick kill instead of farming my components first... Lol

This is why I will always come back to MWO, even if I don't play for a while.
For the most part, the character of the players makes the game. Well, I always play N. America servers, so there at least
