ok so there are some weapons that dont work in solaris, narc for example. flamers are problematic and get different mechanics. you could fix problems with the narc by replacing the homing beacon with an e-pod. so the narc becomes a 4-damage weapon (not ammo switching, just a substitution like what was done with flamers). but then there are several other weapons indented solely for solaris. bombast lasers and fluid guns for example. maybe throw in some experimental tech as well, like xpulse. moar things!!!

would be nice to have some bigger maps so its not just a brawlfest all the time too

There is literally a "ban NARC from Solaris" thread right now.

Fluid guns aren't making it in because ammo switching isn't. Solaris ends up a hotbed of experimental gear that often goes mainstream later, for that matter. If they're going to add new tech, restricting it to Solaris only is a waste.

theres a problem and instead of jumping on the 'get rid of it' bandwagon i propose a solution. thats the difference between that thread and this one.

a waste perhaps, but it goes with the gladatorial combat theme quite well. ammo switching doesnt need to be a thing either. just split it up into several different weapons.
