Hey guys,

So since a lot of you guys use microphones maybe some of you guys had the same issue once or are knowledgeable about it.
So I got new hardware on my computer. mainly AORUS X470 ULTRA GAMING mobo Ryzen 2600x and 8GB ram.
My microphone is an Avermedia Aegis.
Problems only came after I wrecked my Windows 10 and had to re-install everything, since then my microphone has difficulties.

So when I go to the Windows app to listen to my own microphone it does work, you see those green bars going up and down and my voice comes through the speakers clearly.
When I turn it off however the microphone doesn't catch anything anymore and I can't use teamspeak, discord or Mechwarrior Voip to communicate.

So what I tried so far is removing the drivers and re-installing them.
Tweak some options in the windows microphone settings, plugging my microphone to different USB ports.
And yes my microphone is a standard device in windows.

So yeah any of you guys can help me out here?

Can try

Right click on speaker icon in bottom right -> recording devices

If that doesn't work.

Ryzen is AMD.

The setting you're looking for could be in catalyst control center I think they have a new thing called radeon software for ryzen.

You might expect that there would only be GPU settings in there but there are settings for HDMI and sound in there, too.

if you update windows 10 and your microphone stops working like mine, go to windows settings privacy > microphone allow apps to access your microphone.
