Perhaps we should be allowed to play mechs from lower divisions in higher divisions (but not lower). If you want to bring your Atlas to division 1 why not. Maybe we could get bonus money for playing lower division mechs at higher levels. It would also allow elite players an interesting challange.

I can't really see any logical objection here.

I wouldn't even have a problem with awarding bonus money for these "catch weight" fights, but I don't see that part happening.

Besides, Solaris match rewards need to be increased across the board, and this would just give PGI an excuse not to fix that problem.

This is definitely a good idea. You could also allow someone in a div2 mech for example queue up in a "combined" queue looking for matches in both div 1 and div 2.

Some mechs from lower divs counter those in higher divs so it probably would not be a good idea. If they knock pirahna and MLX down a peg or 2 then it would make no sense to allow them to counter the anni in div 1.
