Hello!

Yesterday I decided to return on Windows 7 for some retro gaming but figured out that MWO do not have sound if web browser (any) open at the same time with tab containing audio or video content (e.g. YouTube tab, Spotify tab, even if video paused).

In this case I should close all tabs with videos in my web browser to have sound in MWO otherwise MWO will be runnning w\o sound.

External usb DAC have same symptoms under Windows 7 + MWO.

I never had this issue under Windows 10 at the same rig and I assume this is a software issue (other games works fine, I can hear video from browser and game sound at the same time).

Any ideas where to dig?

Well... Disabling exclusive mode for audio devices and PC reboot did nothing.

Problem solved. This is was a driver issue. I don't know why but to solve this I had to download old realtek audio driver from motherboard website, install it, uninstall it, install latest realtek driver from realtek website, uninstall it and install previous driver again. No idea why is this so weird on WIndows 7 (I never had something like this in Win 7 days).

And most strange moment is - why realtek driver with this issue affect usb DAC sound in Win 7.

Realtek has a application ,not driver, assigns audio port dynamically when it plugged, no matter what the ports originally made for which separated by colours. Probably it is.
