The hard part is finding an open minded Assault pilot or pilots.... You are taking a huge chance with an IDF boat behind them at 10 meters or less. The assault driver controls the battle and calls the targets: we service what he chooses and then shift, to what's next or fatal....

As for teams, I've been in and work with teams all of my life..... So please, it's not the lack of knowledge, it's the lack of team mates that actually want to play as a team..... With my team mates playing other games and another team that left to play another game entirely, it is refreshing to find "good pilots" who want help....... In this case, was an out right hoot....

I don't mind losing, and I don't mind be in a losing team. Some folks carry, some get carried, some run unoptimized builds, other run exclusively meta, and it's all the fun part of solo QP which I genuinely enjoy. One thing I find extremely infuriating though - when game is lost, some people start to call team members noobs, potatoes, you name it, criticize builds of players and etc, while they haven't contributed much, if anything. So I'd like to address these folks:
If you guys lose, no need to be an A-hole, say something nice or don't say anything at all, keep your salt to yourself, especially if there are players on your team who can rip your face off in a blink 1v1 any day of the week. Have fun and enjoy the game, or don't, quietly.

i think in both of my games i had 4 kills, damage numbers were in 800-900 range, and i had won the match in both cases. my first game, the better scoring of the two, i had died at the end (i had used all the ammo and was very cored and the light wanted a stick really bad) but still managed 700+ ms. so all the people hiding in the back not engaging in hopes of surviving the match dont have a leg to stand on, sometimes literally.

i also had 2 very close games, where i would have had them in the bag if the team had won. so winning the game seems rather important for getting the score. needless to say several of the matches were the best games i had in qp in a very long time. following that i played minecraft for the rest of the day because i think i had enough frustration from mwo at that point.

Thankfully these can be done in a drop or three and right back to CW.

unfortunately fp was dead by the time i finished and i wasnt in an mwo mood anymore at that point anyway. i only waited 5 minuites before throwing in the towel.

Sorry to hear that, we has insta or near insta CW drops yesterday, again.

And we had good games too! Actually had enemies that fought back!!

They still lost but they at least put up a fight.

yes but you dont live in a weird time zone that puts peak hours in the middle of the work period. i played a couple today, and between them an hour of wait time. yay.

I played a match in my Sleipnir, did 700+ damage and got 3 solo kills, and still fell 150 points short. At that point, I said "**** it, I'll buy the MC if I need it."

Took me a couple of matches to get my first 500 but I got my second 500 in the next game and had done 250 before that.

Yeah I am feeling the same way. I have had some phenomenal games where I have output 700-800 damage, had multiple Kills, KMDD, Solo Kills and generally stepped out with some badassry, mech battling skills and still have fallen short. I have had so many 450-490 Match Score games now it is just mind boggling.

I guess it wouldn't bother me so much if I wasn't for the fact I am seeing people with less kills, assists and damage done, easily breaking the magic 500 match score. I am like WTFrack!!!

Maybe if PGI wouldn't keep their match score formula ultra secret confidential for god knows what reason, then maybe I could figure out what the hell I am doing wrong.

Teamdamage has a massive negative impact on match score, which i realized after getting pretty low matchscores for pretty high damaging matches a few times. Bad luck on one strike can really wreck the matchscore a match

Just getting a single point of team damage from one of your team running into you (not even your fault) drops your final score by 10% on average.

Fun thing, tho... in the first match with the Nova Cat missile boat, someone locked up a Kodiak with his back to me. Several salvos later and his CT dissolved. Thanks for the 100 ton solo kill 60 seconds into the match, yo!

Brawled my way to the first one in my Revenant, then kept getting 450-495 over and over again so I pretty much gave up on it. I took a risk and brought out the LRM Supernova last night just expecting to farm the damage and assists for Assault day, and wound up with over 600 match score (1k+ damage, 2 solo kills) on a loss.

Bottom line...you just gotta do what you gotta do.
