I can tell you what causes it.
The stationary shadows are elements attached to your cockpit mesh, where the shadows have NOT been turned off.
Your arms are an aspect of the cockpit mesh too, they do not actually belong to the MECH mesh. In the King Crab's case they are not turned off for casting shadows and as such they cast shadows. The core shadow, the good looking one, that's a shadow created by your mech mesh...which you can't see because it would clip wildly since the cockpit is a stationary floating thing that bounces... and every mech has a walk that sways from side to side, hobbles, or whatever the case may be.
As for the fix...
That isn't all that difficult, but it takes time. And PGI's people for that are busy with something else all the time. New mechs. New ********. New game...

Remember when Jagermech had shoulder wings (dunno how to call those) floating in the air? Was fixed in a timely manner. It's great to havbe new mech and maps and all but at one point instead of playing with ghost heat numbers all the time and retract before a patch land, it would be nice to work on fixing bugs like those present for months.
I just hate the fact they don't seems to care and it's annoying to me because I see this all the time when I play, I mean it's in the main window and it follows me, it's not a bug on the static dish we can see on some map.
