Just wanted to confirm if this is WAI. Was just on escort mode, attack side, Frozen City. VIP was close to reaching the dropship. Our team legged the VIP, who slowed for about 2 steps, then began walking normally.

Not sure if that's normal, a bug, or a 'feature' where, once VIP is in range of the dropship he enters a 'walk normally to evac point' mode regardless of leg status.

Anyone know how this is supposed to work?

Legged mechs slow down heavily for 2 seconds and then they resume about half speed. I guess since the VIP is already very slow, legging it doesn't really cut into its speed.

But yeah, post it in patch feedbacks section and ask them whether it is intentional.

Why leg the VIP if you can just kill him by shooting the back CT?

The most effective means of slowing the VIP is to park a 'mech in front of him (unless PGI has 'fixed' that).

I've legged the vip a couple of times(as a defender), but it doesnt seem to affect its movement speed. That mode is cancer and should go away.
