Far from it from what I've gathered.

Its kinda hard to be quickplay when you respawn 4 times in the match. That sorta makes it longplay.
Depends on what you consider "quick", no?
Quickplay's pretty damn long compared to Solaris, for example.

Are people really that oblivious to what is going on in the game and why things will just NEVER happen?

Especially when one takes into account that this horse has been beaten to death I think 3 years ago....then 2 years ago....then last year...

It also puts teams up against potatoes on one-sided maps.
Maybe those 'potatoes' should have read the warning message?
Maybe use LFG? Faction Chat? VOIP?
You know, anyone one of the things those very same 'potatoes' rallied for to put them on even footing.
If those 'potatoes' are going to play QP w/respawn and the other is playing CW, of course they will be on-sided.

But I think FP needs an 8v8 mode with same mech respawns with some sort of objective.
Game definitely needs a mode where the objective is critical and the death is a secondary pleasure.

because without respawns every gamemode is just lame boring skirmish
although dying should have consequences, just not game-ending consequences, hence a ticket based gamemode.
that would allow for more objective based gameplay, and running the enemy team out of tickets would only be a secondary win condition to prevent the game from lasting too long.
we need a gamemode where each team has a main base with a destroyable HQ and theres 3 capturable bases spread out across the map. capturing a base would allow your mechs to respawn there, but also cause the enemy team to slowly bleed tickets. you could win either by destroying the enemy HQ or running them out of tickets (teams would lose tickets equal to a mechs tonnage when it dies and thered be slow ticket bleed from captured bases). and you could also have a mech repair bay at each base, it would cost tickets to repair mechs, but less tickets than if the mech was destroyed.

No we really do not need any of that. If I wanted that I would go play other games that do that better.

the whole point would be to add a gamemode that no other mecha game does better.
One of the biggest problems with PGI is that they constantly settle for mediocrity with their game. They dont even try to make it the best game they can. They just focus on MWO being a minimally viable product. And they have this dumb fixation on MWO being an esport; it cant be successful as an esport if its not a good game that people want to play to begin with.
You cant just skip ahead to being an esport. Your game needs to be good first. And you need to develop a strong playerbase to the point where it can support itself as an esport.

I dont care about this game being an esport. They need to focus on the gamemode most people play Quickplay and make that even better.
Also they need to advertise, I mean come on I have never seen this game advertised.
