I gave up lrm boating years ago. People just lack basic team work in qp to bother with it any more or build their mech properly to use lrms. I still see lots of lrm boats with a. no back up weapons. b. no tag. c. no uav. d. no narcs. e. minimal back up weapons. f. no bap/cap g. mix of them all.
I might use a 5 or 10 just for the phsy factor of the missile warning but now you're far better off taking any weapon over lrm.

No, absolutely not.
If nothing else they let us see how good the other game modes are, AND, I don't think Incursion is that bad, it just needs to be changed so that only one side defends and only one side attacks.
As far as Escort is concerned the VIP needs to be a lot more intelligent and stop seemingly random path that almost always walks him out into the bulk of the enemy guns...
Oh F no. You are so wrong.
Apparently you're relatively new around here, we had random maps for quick play and it sucked balls so much the majority of the player base demanded SOME SORT of control over what maps we dropped on, hence the current voting system.
Trust me, we DO NOT want to go back random maps, it will actually add MORE frustration for the players than otherwise.
Struggling to hard to not leave a derogatory comment here. Essentially if you're facing players who brawl well, or play the ranged game well and you're having a hard time countering them well enough to at least make the matches interesting, well, probably you need to change your tactics and maybe your 'mech load outs.
LRMs have always been a 'near the bottom of the skill barrel' type weapon anyway, and in my mind have always been a 'computer guided admission of "I can't aim by myself"', so there shouldn't be as many in game as there has been historically because most MWO players can aim and have sufficient skill to make ranged/brawl matches quite fun.
It's just that there's so many lazy players out there and it's OH SO MUCH MORE EASY to let someone else lock a target and then:
1. Put small circle in big square.
2. Wait for big circle.
3. Push the missiles button
When you have players demonstrating that they can do well with LRMs when controlling the mouse with their feet and/or literally mashing their face into the key board, or damn near pass out drunk (done that one myself, and got my first ace of spades)... c'mon man, it's a gimpy 'no skill/low skill' weapon that NO ONE should be proud of 'being good at'.

No, here again you are assuming things. Random maps are and create diversity ! The reason they were voted down is because this was an 'assumed' FPS!!! That means brawling...... BUT, MWO really wasn't an arena FPS.......it was Faction Play and that meant "teams" and teams infer 'various weapons mixes" and customization of weapons systems lead to boating....etc.... That test failed and the game imploded.
Notice, S7 is 1x1/2x2............where the arena FPS's founders and all brawlers really wanted to be?!?! Not the other way around: faction play, random maps and teams??? Ah, so PGI corrected their mistake and gave those who wanted an Arena FPS an entire game mode and where are they? Farming in QP and not in S7: from what dozens have said if previous posts and from team mates that tried S7 and haven't gone back....
I play 'balanced mechs' for the most part. I have a few LRM or Laser boats that I've tried.... Just to see what happens in that form of gameplay. They can be fun ! I take umbridge on your 'no skill' comment but, as you restrained to civil conversation, so shall I and I thank you for your opinion. Neither of us is 'right' nor 'wrong' and in the end, since we both at least have accounts in MWO, we're OK...

2 days now I rarely see lurmers in quick play, did the free mech NVA-S(C) spooked the lurmers?
Which server and what times are you playing?
I need to get in on this non-LRM action, because every damn match for the past week I've been stuck with 4 LRM assaults who sit at the back and do their best to cripple our changes of winning.

That's because you're T1... There are more starchy tubers there than in T2-4 combined. (it's on par with what's in T5)
