Red padlock for an entire tree, but all nodes have yellow ones unless you buy it first. But there is no indication which ones within a valid tree do not apply to your loadout. Fortunately, it's not many or of too great of an importance.

They could do 35/90, take the vast majority of the 1% nodes and combine them. The only nodes that would make sense to have not combined would be the seismic and radar dep. Everything else is just silly amounts of filler.

What nodes are you taking that trigger the warning? And why aren't you routing around them?


I get the little yellow warning triangle symbol at the upper left corner of my weapons skill tree window saying some nodes do not apply to my loadout. I've looked them over and can't see why. For example, I have a mech with only missile and energy hardpoints. I only unlocked nodes that's either for missiles or lasers, and then cooldown, velocity, and range. I don't understand why I'm getting that warning.

That is not for the current selection, it is an "in general" warning to be careful because the ballistic nodes are useless to you.

Wow! Really! The warning message specifically says "current loadout". I don't know why they bothered then, because that's applicable to any mech that doesn't have all three kinds of hardpoints. Lazy. Lazy. Lazy.

Yeah, the Skill Tree is a bit messed up.
