I've pitched this idea before but I'd welcome a separate que that would consist of purely ranked play, with a limited group drop - maybe a lance at most, still a 12v12 though, while keeping the quickplay que as something more casual for people to try new stuff or grind out exp for their mechs and what have you.

I think in this way, there'd be much better balance. Folks who are naturally more competitive and want the challenge while maintaining the team aspect I think would largely benefit with the implementation of a ranked que.

The gist of how the ranks would work...We could broaden the tiers from T7 to T1, where I think at T1 it should be a representation of the absolute best players, while providing a hard reset for everyone to start from scratch. I know some folks would not be keen on the idea of having this hard reset but at the same time, it would give other people an incentive to try and achieve or re-achieve this tier. We could also add a subrank to each tier as well...Say T1 - Div C or Div B.

I believe in this que, there should be a greater focus towards how an individual performs to better represent what tier he belongs in. For example; let's say a T3 match just ends and we see three individuals who just out performed everyone by a large margin, they could jump up a subrank or even a tier, likewise a player who underperformed drastically, like 50 damage or something could drop a subrank.

This is merely a concept floating around my head, but I think with our current tier system and a constant "always rankedquickplay" on is giving us a bloated T1 system to where it's more of a representation of how long players have been playing the game rather than their actual skill.
