It has the Arctic Cheetah cutie-pie face and some shmexy meta-tastic torso mounts. Posted Image

INC-1 (4E, 4B) & INC-4 (7E) look to be potential faves of mine.

One of mechs I have been waiting for, for a long, long time. Guess I am going to be waiting a while longer though because I ain't buying anything until/unless PGI backs on on the barrel changes to the Blood Asp and quits nerfing in general.

Patience Young Skywalker, Soon, soon you too will be able to own this mech.....FOR FREE.....because PGI has done pissed you off with their BS.

Honestly aside from my personal fury at PGI at the moment, I honestly think this one has alot of potential. Most of those hardpoints are very high in the Torsos. Then there is the fact that it is a Battlemech AND CLAN so is is using a no vulnerability XL, combined with very light weight and small weapons, combined with infinite tweakability, combined with high mounted hard points = Win. Only issue it will have is dealing with heat as usual but my Kit Fox Purifier which is an omni with all the crazy locked crits and equipment and kind of poor geometry does very well for itself.

This would honestly be a 100% buy situation normally for me.

I get that. And to be honest, for a light it has good hardpoints. But its a light. I only run lights in CW when all my other rides are dead, and I already have two Urbies that make extra CBills. So, yeah, I hope everyone that drives this thing enjoys it, but I have zero interest in it.

Alex did dang fine work on it, I am looking forward to fielding this baby. I just hope it keeps its narrow profile and small stature; about the same size as the Arctic Cheetah, but with a narrower profile perhapes.

What would consider not boring?

I mean we have a 30 ton mech that generally speaking can mount all the best "light weight" options available and those options are, again generally speaking, mounted about as high up in the torso as you can mount them which by the way, is consider the absolute best mounting locations you can have on a mech, any mech.

So what do we need? Remote weapons platforms that float above the mech and can be fired by a remote camera mounted on the platforms so that you don't even need line of slight to fire at the enemy mechs? I mean yeah, those type of mounts wouldn't be boring but they kind of, sorta of, don't exist in the Battletech/Mechwarrior universe so I am not sure how we can go about fitting them in.

problem is i got mechs that can do the same job. an interesting mech is one that can do something new.

ok the inc2 can mount 5 machine guns. wow thats still less than half a pirhana. also high hardpoints on a light isnt really something thats needed. nice to have yes, but hill humping is a static defence and lights need to keep moving.

I guess by "boring" he means that it's "too meta."

But honestly I think that the light class could use a bit more meta in it right now to create some competition with it, especially on the Clan side (which is currently monopolized by MG boats).

It looks like fun. It wasn't what I was expecting, and it wasn't what I had my fingers crossed for, but I might just get this one anyway.

Meh. Clans don't have any Light-friendly lasers, so the laser boat version doesn't excite me despite the Battlrmaster-like mounts. The rest are either less efficient versions of the existng MG boats on account of needing HMGs to pull it off or have some excruciatingky varied-but-sparse hardpoints.

I suppose I could do 5x cMPL okay...

If the Incubus is in now, does this mean that the VMI mechs are off the hook?
