Why won't 3 gauss rifles charge at the same time? Just wondering.

Because a pinpoint 45pt alpha at 650m unskilled, without heat and a 4-5 sec repeat will kill anything below 85tonns whith max 3 hits (12 - 15 secs depending on the refire skills and Quirks) when the shooter is sufficiently skilled.

So short answer...balance.

And if you would go according to lore no mech should be able to fire more than one gauss at a time....due to energy consumption....not to speak of other energy weapons fired with Gauss.
