It makes no sense to let mechs stay AFK / DC the whole game.

- let others control those mechs
- or kick after 30 seconds when not moving and allow hot join for another pilot

And add auto focus when in windows when the match starts - or cut waiting times by 80%.

I can see the merit of that. MWO is a cascading kind of game. A small advantage multiplies over time to give a serious advantage. I have myself been spectating at the end of a match where the only mech we had left was AFK or DC. I wanted so badly to just take it over and continue the match.

OK, so taking over the mech that is AFK or DC isn't really an option, and managing the hot-swap has to present some serious challenges. Still, sitting there in spectator mode looking at the beat down opposing team coming in is teeth-grindingly annoying.
