This got me thinking of either picking up a awesome or a Victor, later on since they on sale.

Never played the rest, they all look much less interesting compared to every other IS Assault.
AWS-8Q or AWS-9M
PPCs or go home!

I miss the uber-quirked LCT-1V with a single LPL, fun times

Yeah I'm more concern of a 1E than the PB when it comes to a fight especially a knife fight with other lights.

9A1 look nice I could do a few ballistic builds or go with the dual HGR, for the Awesome 8R I had a build in mind.

Hey, I have fun with the 8T and 8V. The 8T runs two MRM40s with five backup MLs pretty well. The 8V is an oddball but with Snubnoses and SRMs it can fight in close quarters decently by the chassis' standard.
But yeah, the 8Q is the most fun. I run two HPPCs and a PPCs in the arm.

Well back then. I remember them being overshadowed by the Firestarter and Cheetah, for a good time, but I'm focusing on the now and I'm having fun and able to bring damage around 300 at times but it will be a fun mech to grind with.

I've always hated locusts in comparison though, almost entirely because of that dumb bar in the cockpit that's just about half an inch too low into your field of vision. Also: no articulated arms.

Are they using trial mechs and then playing them, or is there a new way to try them out?
(Slightly baffled; haven't loaded the game up since agreeing to the new ToS).

Imagine when the Flea comes out..
I've never sold my Awesomes and I own every single one (have since 2012). They're still fun although many of the modern meta tropes won't work so you gotta get creative.

I wanted to preorder it because it was crazy enough for me to pick up especially the 8mg variant an have some fun, plus it stands out being the first light in the game with MASC.
Maybe later I'll buy myself one and have fun.

Some are trials. Keep in mind anything for 50% off is close to being a trial, if you don’t spend money on upgrades you can get most of your money back when you sell it.

I would not worry to much about the TOS even if some Gov came up with fair and unbiased law/laws
they don't have anyone to inforce the law/laws
so its all smoke and mirrors anyways
or I should say all that has changed is the wording of TOS/user license agreement

They were top tier lights for a decent stretch of time. Not gamebreaking, but rock solid in the hands of a good light jock. That was mostly because they didn't play like the FS9, frosty cheaters, &c. Not a single light until the Osiris and PIR played like them, IMO, and both of those are markedly better off in terms of weapon load.
Again, you can still do 750+ with a little effort, but actually carrying takes more work... and that's in the 1E, which was hurt the least by various nerfs. Every other variant is markedly worse in some way.

Trials then buying and some are just flat out buying listening to friends. With the sales they are cheap enough to take a chance too.

With the bonuses taken into account you can outright profit from some of them. The current commando and locust challenge are such an example. The Urbie one in a few days will definitely be one as well.

I got a mechpack way before the event (a year ago I believe) it just not on the list of mechs to finish grinding espically when I have 178 mechs to mess with and I just filled all my mechbays yesterday with a Awesome 8R and the Victor 9A1 both are fun to ride especially the MRM 80+ 3 ML laugh at assaults all day thinking I'm carrying lurms at a quick glance.
