some times i have a real bad game with low dmg and not much of a contribution but if my team wins my PSR goes up despite demonstrating no skill in the match and vice versa just got out of a match where i lost half my mech right at the beginning trying to group up with my team that basically ran from the enemies to do a huge flank that the enemy watched us do at range and funnily enough my team walked into a kill box and died real quick. but managed to hang on in there in a very one sided match i pulled 400 dmg and a kill with 2 med lasers and 1 strike i was at less that 20% health when i died it was an intense fight we went 2 kills down real fast and never pulled it back at all. my positioning shooting had to be on point to do what i did we lost 12-3 and my PSR went down ????
does the game consider it luck that i locked a target and luck that i aimed for a part of the mech indicated as weak by the target data and lucky that i was able to hold my burn on that part to take it off as apposed to skill that i did that? and was i lucky not skillful to spread the damage i was taking?
how can a pilots skill rating be based on the teams performance ???
im not massively bothered about PSR i play mostly group stuff i just think it should be based on the pilots skill if your gona call it PSR or change the name of it to QPFR quick play fortune rating
surely if PSR was based on a pilots skill we'd have better match quality its worth doing

Well, if your team wins the game, the psr will essentially always go up. If you lose, but still do well enough, it will also go up.
I am not sure where exactly it starts, but if you get a game score of 342, your skill will not move despite losing. If you get 428 your psr will still go up despite losing. I am not sure where the border is, ie what kind of score will provide you with no loss and which score will still allow you to go up. It is kinda of hard to replicate, losing a match and aiming exactly for a certain score.
***EDIT: I just went through some old screenshots. Apparently, 287 score is enough to not lose points...***
