Well I just had a friend drop a build off that was a little crazy, or really crazy as in done before but meh a long long long time ago. The build was Jager S with 4 AC2s ... oddly enough with some pug shielding it did really well.

So this brought me here during my boredom to ask for your weird outlandish maybe use to be crap builds that oddly enough work. Please share if you want screen shots of the build and if you want the skill tree as well ... I am currently looking at mechs for during these recent challenges if you feel like sharing.

Just about any build, given the right circumstances will work. I think we have seen them all. The problem is finding yourself in the right circumstances for an off the wall, super specialized build to "work"

My six LB2 ANH-2A works...situationally... six AC/2s allows more ammo because you have the crit spaces for running Endo steel then, and its more precise to hit one spot because there's no spread for the shots... but the LB2 has better range bands, is cooler, and generates more crits once you strip the armor.

I run quad AC2 Rifleman. It being 5 tons lighter makes it so I have to run a low XL engine to mount enough ammo. It can really rip into anyone silly enough to sit still. Especially good at a distance where return fire can be less accurate.

3xUAC2 Uziel, the one with quirk reduction, isn't too bad either. There's also my crazy 2xLGauss, 2xLPPC, 1xHPPC Banshee. Lol.

4 AC2 Jager is utterly nuts when you could be running 5 AC2 Jager instead. The memes demand it to be so.

Why not just go all out for the full 6 AC2s?

I run with 4 medium lasers on my 4 ac2 jager. I think that's actually a very common build.

4xATM9 Sunspider with a Tag. Alpha most of the time and eat the ghost heat. If someone gets inside your min range switch targets and hope a friendly peels them off. Stay with the group and you will rarely be jammed up in QP. Any back up weapons likely wont save you if you get pushed, so just stick to your role as a short/mid range damage dealer.

Pfft, amateur. Clearly he doesn't know about my 6xAC2 macro buzzsaw Jager. Posted Image

More seriously, I use 5xAC2 Jager-DD in FP to great effect. Mounting 6 is fine for QP, but ammo strapped in FP.

Agreed with previous comment. Have had decent games in the 5 ac2 jager mech. As low on ammo as it is.
Strangely too tho is my 4x lb2 4 ml jager. Got my 2nd highest dmg record on that build.

Another weird build I've been testing is the heavy gauss 3 lpl banshee Solaris hero. Oddly satisfying but feels so weak

If talking about weird looking builds, the 4 lmg loyalty griffin looks pretty funny with a trident arm for only 4 lmg.
Or 4 ac2 banshee with hose humongous barrels sticking out in a zig zag link along its left torso

I've got an Assassin with two ER Larges, two ER mediums, and an SRM-2 that's kinda fun.

This is called “nail gun” right? I think it’s a legit build, iv also seen roughnecks run that kind of setup.

My mechs are pretty average. My pirates bane carries an ERPPC and rigged for stealth that’s about as wild as it gets. Mostly because it I so much as stub a toe I’m blown up.
