I like orchestra and techno ensembles.

I'm partial to 80's rock and pop.

I honestly don't like modern music very much. Like I don't really like the guitar as an instrument that plays a melody, I think they are good for harmonizing a song but not as the lead instrument in the melody.

I usually like the music in rap songs, but simultaneously don't really care for the lyrics generally.

100% Rock so far. I like it.

The MW2 soundtrack was pretty good. Stick your MW2 CD in your CD player and it plays like a regular soundtrack album.

Not an especially expansive list. Any hope for alternative, that1fail? I think more than a few goat roping hillbillies call the cockpit home, why not give country some love?

I actually like a lot of all kinds of rock, all kinds of music, really, except opera and, in general c-rap. Modern Orchestra (Escala, Bond, E.S. Posthumus, Rob Dougon, Juno Reactor, etc.) definitely floats my boat, especially the all-female orchestral bands. I'm also a big fan of techno, really getting into Daft Punk, Crystal Method, and Chemical Brothers of late, Darkcore and general Trance.

Def Leppard, Queen, and The Police, but I also like some of the modern rock and metal, Disturbed being among my favorites.

What about Fragile, by Sting? I have never heard a song as beautiful, and it's got a guitar in the lead.

Yeah, same here. I like the "old-school" rap a lot more, it had more tone, better lyrics, and just sounded better overall, for the lyrics, while today's rap is just mostly garbage, for the lyrics, while the music behind the lyrics is magnificent, imaginative, heart-thumping... very cool.

Would I listen to ANYTHING while playing: NO! I'm going to be in the top Command Role for my Merc Corps, and I'm going to need every bit of concentration I can get.

I like some of everything. Generally don't listen to much rap, but if it's not just awful disgusting lyrics, and it sounds like the artist put serious thought into the rap, then I'll generally like it.
