Conquest Mode, Tourmaline Desert.
I was using a Raven as part of the Champion Event, and I was having fun, capturing a base. You know how it goes. A rival light Mech pops up and starts hammering me with machine guns. So I pop an artillery strike really close and tried to run through the zone before the shells hit, in hopes the guy would follow. Shells hit, blast my rear armor. I die (if you fall out of your chair laughing you have to hit the like button....sorry). Left my opponent smoking, missing arms, but still standing.
Yeah, I could have done that better. Lesson learned.

I test fired my Quad PPC 2MPL Night Gyr, at the start of a match, only I forgot to set the weapons to chain fire and override was engaged...
Game over man, game over.

Same as VonBruinwald, but I was in Warhammer, we were winning like 9-2, I see target, instead of firing only x2 ER PPC, I hit Alpha firing plus 6 Med Lasers, with heat over 50% and override it was hilarious me exploding with only one enemy in sight and no threat around on Frozen City map. I think it was the first time killing myself in so stupid manner.

I've actually won a game with a self arty strike. Me in an Orion and the enemy Shadowhawk were the last players left. I was partially damaged and only have two PPCs left. The Shadowhawk has 2 medium lasers left and was riding close so I can't damage him with PPCs. I noticed that one of his legs has no armor left (always press R people), so I arty strike in front of me and run through the smoke. Sure enough the Shadowhawk follows me through the arty strike and got his leg taken out. That slowed him down so I can get some distance to finish him off with my PPCs. Very proud of myself on that match.

One time on HPG I was running a dual RAC5 Bushwhacker and we take the top. I get a little greedy and expose too much which ends up with one of my legs cherry red. I back off and start playing second line and we start winning. It's like 8-2 so I start pushing, but instead of taking the ramp like a smart person, I fall off and that little bit of fall damage destroys my crit leg. Which cooks off my ammo stored there and destroys my side torso... And I was running an XL in that build.
I laughed for probably a solid minute and learned a valuable lesson about gravity.

Aww man, don't feel bad.
I was really, really stoned and after a hard fought Incursion match we were marching to destroy the base.
I had my override on and I burned through four alphas on my Jester Catapult.
I blew up, with no enemies around, no threats, and I was at like 80% after a 12-8 game.
We all do it.

Stupidest death I ever saw - Last enemy guy hiding in Frozen city downed dropship.
Teammate opens chat to type a call-out to the enemy to stop hiding.
Enemy comes out of hiding, and while teammate still locked in chat, enemy cores out friendly. Game over.

Not long ago i build a Roughneck for FP with cool weapons and LaserAMS for hot maps.
We had attack on Hellbore, like always i pushed the override button and we moved in, 1st wave.
Typical Clanners, they had lots of Lurms, typical Bishop, i was in the firs line just saw the countless flying arrows but during the noise of battle and while giving orders I didnt hear the heat managment warning. Why should i focus on somwthing like that...it is the first minute of battle and i just had LBX and MRMs.
Yeah i came around the corner and blew myself up with only 1 Alpha because heat was way over 80 % because of LaserAMS and Lurming....
I have to say that i was the Caller and lead the push....enemy saw me coming around the corner and without hitting anyone i exploded in front of their eyes...

Manifold in my Cypher. Hit by lurms early game, no biggie. I mean, who headshots a Piranha anyway, right?
...right?
5 minutes later, an Atlas that was backing out from top fell on me.

I was chucking missiles in Tourmaline over the head of a stealth armored Griffin with LAMS. Start of the game, rest of the team is balled up with me, nobody even close to the guy. Only reason I know he's there is cause he shot me and ducked when I started pelting him with pulse laser fire.
That LAMS keeps pecking away as I throw at his team behind him when:
"StealthyLAMSer is killed by StealthyLAMSer".
He didn't turn off his stealth/LAMS, had override on and eventually melted to death.
