Hey Guys,

I used to play a few years back and only just rejoined with the Solaris update.
New mechs and a whole bunch of new things to learn - been great.

Im looking for an Aussie unit to hang with and Keen AF to give it all a go... But i still love the old Atlas...

No one else posted? Not a lot going with Battletech just released it appears. Come check out 228 at the 228 TS even if the unit is not for you, guests can hang with us
228 is mostly comp focused but we do have fun too (shenanigans Friday's for example). Its the unit with the most Aussie/Oceania players currently in game that I'm aware of.

Monday 8pm _ training _ night with most people on
Friday 8pm ish _ shenanigans usually

Hello, Welcome to the Rasalhague X Dominion recruitment hub!

We are a Faction Warfare and Lore focused unit. That means that we strive to be competitive in FW and represent the Rasalhague Dominion while we do it. to allow effective team cohesion, we have created a command structure, developed by one of our best termin8torsmurf. it works by combining Real Military Hierarchy and Ranking structures from both Rasalhague and Ghost Bear lore.broken into 4 groups "warrior", "Specialist", "Officers" and "Leadership". A working headset is required for joining the unit as you need to be able to give and acknowledge info and orders immediately; and a microphone is integral to that. we also like people to be on our team-speak when in MWO, even if solo dropping. If you would like to join us, your first place will be the Menig "Recruit". As a Menig, you will be expected to work on your personal play style and skills. As you strive to improve yourself as a pilot, you will be dropping alongside some longtime FW veterans - don’t be afraid to ask them for help getting up to speed. Faction Warfare can be punishing as much as rewarding, and we’re here to help you overcome obstacles as they arise in your personal development as a FW pilot. from there, you will work with unit members on a regular basis "team-speak a must", and based on merit and officer discretion, be promoted up the WARRIOR level ranks till reaching Kavallrist Mark 2"Sargent Major". to reach officer status, you must work 1 on 1 with a veteran player on strategy, builds, following orders, and piloting. When he/she feels you are ready they will submit your name to the Command Staff and other RXD Leadership ( Point Commander and above) for consideration for promotion to entry Officer status. They are then responsible for informing you if you passed your promotion vote or if the unit thinks you need to spend more time training. we are not to strict on drop decks, but have a list of recommended mechs we expect you run or have equivalent mechs and builds set up and ready to go. its up to you to maintain them" wont wait hours for you to make adjustments before a drop"

For those who excel in the Officer-ship, unit Command makes decisions on promotion to Unit Leadership status. This is entirely at the discretion of unit command, and only is offered to individuals who show the skill, temperament and ability to put in large amounts of time for the good of the unit.

um...why do you care? these people clearly were not getting much bites and no solid units bothered to message them or reply to the post...and the post is up asking. so im just trying to help people out finding a unit..why your getting pissy about it? so since im not a **** for blowing this guy off, that makes me the bad guy? XD

Just because it is sad. 3 months old posts. Like 4 in a row. And it still looks like no SOLID unit has messaged them...

You're assuming that a) those people are still playing, b ) that they will even read it (some of them did not touch the forums for half a year) and c) that the fact they did not update their posts means they're not currently members of a unit or trialing for one.
In the process you necro'd threads that have been as old as eight months (which, yes, is obnoxious again).

And... you are not entirely being honest about this, as you have also attempted to poach at least one player who updated their thread with information that they were picked up by an established unit.

Finally, your recruitment ad just doesn't work - it's far too forceful, mixes in material is of no use to applicants (but does belong in recruit orientation) and the important parts boil down to two short paragraphs and four bullet points.

How are these that old? I only replied to post literally one page back. I didnt go ro the begining of time..this post should not be that old. Still does not change the fact your complaining cause you have to see something that actually relates to this whole dam thread" kinda point of posting in a faction area or under "looking for group". Only reason you guys are bitching is its not one person, but a few "and i say few" who got there post moved up front as a result. So your inconvenienced. And again..one page past first one only, never past that.

Nag, ill 1v1 you any time if your going to throw unit insults around. Im ok puting action to talk. Dont see me pulling lo punches.

Few pilots post their LFUs in this particular subforum - they commonly go to the faction-specific subforums or the Merc Corps forum (and the Hiring Hall thread there).

And FYI? I've been recruiting people for several months now... far as I can tell, somewhere between 50-75% of players who were looking to find a unit never come back to the forums after their initial post. Those who get accepted into units usually don't bother to come back and confirm it (which is also fairly typical these days)

No, because of the spammy, obnoxious way you approached that idea. There's a distinction there.
