I agree wholeheartedly with mechs, especially humanoid mechs, should have the ability to raise at least one arm at a time to fire off those weapons, be it behind partial cover, over a friendly's mech, up or down to/from an elevated position without having to back up further or moving closer.

Generally tis the chicken walkers or high mounted humanoid mechs are the preferred.

Private lobbies are available but you would need people available before launching.

It was either picking maps/missions or random maps/missions. I prefer the ability to pick, or attempt to pick opposite of what I THINK the others will select. Much tougher now that the previous version, allowed you to pick/unpick while seeing the percentage for both maps/missions, the minigame.

As for "lore" the TT was setup as a simulation that lasted 10secs a round. Then there was Battleforce which was 60secs/round and Solaris VII at 2.5secs/round, which also had TICS (weapon grouping), weapon delays (cooldowns), etc.

Can't say I generally agree with rant, because as much as low slung arms give me lemons, I realize that if I'd be able to move/raise these arms, it would give me unfair advantage in comparison to other chassis who cannot do so. Although yeah, incentive to pick mechs with high ST mounts and how they dominate the field isn't very good thing either.

However I do agree on maps. Playing HPG and Plexus back to back non stop is getting tiresome. Last week learnt that max multiplier is x12, and with this I couldn't outvote Forest/Terra/Caustic for HPG/Plexus/Frozen no matter what...
I said it many times and I will again: map voting must stop, give us random maps with truly varied rotation. Gamemode voting must stay as long as Escort is present in the list for obvious reasons.

I don't hate lurms like many others, even while being on receiving end (because I know how to lurm right and how to avoid > deal with them), but I'm starting to truly hate Polar. On maps like Canyon or Forest lurms work very well, even on Solaris they have uses, but Polar is garbage map, no matter how you looking at it. Why no cover at all? That's just silly... So if nobody on the team has AMS/ECM and knows how to protect deathball, you're screwed.

OP, there is the paradox of choice.... If pilots are given a choice of where to fight, they will always chose to fight where they have all of the power... When that choice is taken away, they will complain about the weapons that defeat the simplicity of what they do to over power and win... Since I have been here, the brawling community has had their way and now, a great many of us only are part time players...... The "balance" of the community was lost to the balance of the paradox....

Much of what you have said "rings true" and I hope one day, the game changes.

For 3 straight years I was a religious player of this game. So far in 2018, I've only booted up the game twice. The dev's constant lack of care and forethought for this potentially wonderful game has finally taken its toll on me.

I keep hoping and hoping that PGI will right the ship, but they never do. The best point this game has ever been was 2016 when laser vomit, brawling, sniping, and pop-tarting were all viable play-styles.

If the devs ever bring the game back to what it was in 2016, I will return. But until then, I've got better ways to spend my most valuable resource: time.

Guess the rant is over, I agree in some aspects about it, but probably will keep playing MWO for now.

I hated/liked this game, even left it for some time, or played it less. But just like ____ ___ ____ _ ___ , you may return to it. (oh that comparison was going to get "regulated" or censored, so just fill in the blanks) You get the idea... Posted Image

Yes it has plenty of flaws and unexploited potential, even with an old engine.

Though MW5 is coming, I probably expect to be around here. A campaign is fun, but then, like MW3 or even MW2, you wanted to try team matches.

I rather see some sort of MWO 2 in the future, or whatever it may be called. Whether is PGI who does it or some other company. What would be important is that they really listen to their player base and deliver a mind blowing awesome futuristic combat experience. Posted ImagePosted Image
