Really, I wanted to read it at least partially but this is completely unreadable, people should learn how to format their text.

I rarely ever have a crash. However, when I first started playing I had my video setting to full screen and would crash quite often... I switched to windowed full screen and really have had next to zero issues since. Maybe something for you to look into? I also suggest cleaning out any lint that might have accumulated on your heat sink or graphic card. Good luck

I have changed my rig - the complete rig from cpu to board to rem to gpu and hardrive - 3 times in the last 6 years.

3 times my man.

Guess what.

Mwo crashed on all systems with various and different windows versions.

You telling me that its gotta be my system?

Please....

Yep. It's your system. I recently had a crash. First one in almost two years. i7 4770k and a GTX760 running 32gb of ram. Nearly two years.

i was taking a break up until the last set of events and my computer was crashing hard. of course the weather was hot that day and i presume i had heating problems. so i crammed another fan in my case and i havent had a problem since.

i figure my little sfx psu cant really push air very well so it needed help. the big high performance 140mm fan up front was just blasting back out the vent hole, so a little positive pressure there did wonders.

I think he's already discounted his system as being at fault though, as well as every other reasonably offered explanation and fix provided - not because they're wrong, but because he doesn't want to believe it. He's just here to throw some anger around, complete with an 'I will unleash hell upon you' vibe.

5 crashes in 2 years here. OP, there is 100% something wrong on your end. Some combination of hardware and software, or some issue with your internet, or the installation. Many lovely people here have offered advice; you can either take it and move forward, or keep complaining, and gather more of these instead:

what do you do that you need 32gb of ram? ive been looking for an excuse to upgrade from 8gb for years and i haven't found one. next build is going to have 16 for no other reason than epeen.

@OP

Trust me, I understand your frustration.. I too crash.. alot. My significant other crashes even more, in such a way that her laptop freezes completely, she has to cut the power and reboot, and She misses that match completely.

It's literally so frustrating that She usually quits playing for the evening when it happens.

So yes.. I get it.

BUT..

What we see in-game are not "crashes" - they are disconnects.

And sadly, a disconnect can happen for about a gazillion reasons. Sometimes, it's PGI server's fault. Sometimes it's the player's ISP's fault. Sometimes the player's computer's fault. Sometimes the player's own fault, when they disconnect on purpose.

I don't think PGI has any way to track and distinguish which is which, and it would take waaaaay to much resources to track and investigate every disconnect.

What they CAN do is work on giving the game lighter and less resource-demanding coding, improve quality control and bug resolution, and improve their servers..

But to do that.. you need a competent, responsible, and detail-oriented dev team.

Much could be stated about if or not they have that.

I know PGI is trying. I hope they try harder.

I use to experience crashes frequently until I switched to Full Window.

Haven't crashed since.

Honestly, I don't need 32gb. But, there was a sale at Newegg on the RAM that I wanted to get at just the right time, so I figured, why not. Also, after hearing some of the comments, I just want to say that the OP is probably either having heat issues, software issues (something is running that MWO doesn't like), or internet issues. I too have positive fan pressure in my case and I am running everything wired on a desktop which I built myself.

After one of the most recent patches there was a very short time (about 4 drops) where nearly everyone on both teams went DC. There were only about 2 or 3 players on either side that were still connected, and I was one of them in every drop.

My client crashes pretty consistently if I alt-tab out of MWO frequently. It is usually when I am dropping into a match I have been running in full screen mode. Last night I switched to full window mode to see if it helps.

I did that a long time ago because I had the same problem. Doesn't happen anymore.
I rarely have any crashes at all.

Its full window. Since I stopped using it, never crashed again. With full window every 5-6th game, mostly when tabbed to windows.

This game has a bug where it fights for window focus. Sometimes it's a crash, sometimes it will blink quickly and switch between minimized and maximzided very fast.

I wanne apologize for my outburst.

I do hate the instability of mwo and I dont quite understand why this problem is ignored consequently....

But I never planned to openly start a campagin against pgi or mwo.

I just lost my sister and am not myself.

Either im so sad that I almost cant take it anymore or I erupt in a rage that I can barely contain.

I wanted to distract myself playing mwo and when I crashed I facepalmed and couldnt escape the feelings that I have right now. The anguish, the loss.

I would do anything to see her again.

Dont want no pity and I dont really care about anything anybody has to say to that.

But what I said was out of the order and it wouldnt be fair to start a pr campaign against a comapny that offers a free to play game.

That wasnt right.

Im usually quite peaceful.

Im drinking wine and beer to numb the shitstorm in my head.

Helps a bit.

Peace

Sorry for your loss. That's rough.

As several of us have mentioned, we too had crashes until we switched to Full Windowed mode in the options. Something doesn't behave right with Full Screen mode and especially alt-tabbing with that. That may be why you're having problems with the game (and why random others do too). Either that, or it's the Spider breaking the Internet again.

Sounds like me running mwo on vista ultimate 64 bit is more stable than newer rigs. Lately I have noticed that it crashes when the drop ship is about to dump us. More crashes than I've had in years. Otherwise, it's been very stable since closed beta.

Alt tabbing while in full screen while loading can causes problems. A black screen that will eventually go away. If I had a movie playing in a program it closes that program.

That kind of sounds like thermal throttling. In my personal experience any CPU throttling will cause all kinds of crap to happen in this game.

You may be able to disable that (at your own risk) via the bios, or sometimes theres a secret key combination you have to press.

OH HELL YA IT IS!

64 bit systems seem similar enough that it still works. I was actually playing a lot of windows 7 64 bit compatible games up until recently. Age of Conan being one of them. Worked fine until a patch put me out of business and as there are no more updates for vista and haven't for a long time, no more playing that game. Hopefully PGI doesn't take an interest in seeing me suffer and do something making Vista Ultimate 64 not compatible, because I assure you, it is.

Also, I can't update my video card. NVIDIA driver installation won't work. haha
