Hi all, pilots
I am a pretty newbie player. Have Resistance Bundle, but play Clan almost fulltime.
Recently I wanted to buy a Wolverine (suggested by a friend) and tried it with 2xMRM 10.
I have to say that, with his variant's -15% CD and +10% range is really cool.
I've mounted 6xJJ and 3x med lasers.
Being not a great skilled player, in open maps I am pretty useless, but in maps like Solaris and Rubellite, with this Wolvy I have real fun.
I wanna share with you my build and asking for some other mech' builds using MRM.
THX a lot to everyone !!!

I run a wolverine sometimes with 2x MRM 40`s. Really love that mech, both of the MRMs are mounted super high on the shoulders. Gimps the build (read engine, auxiliary bits n bobs) to have dual 40`s but its so worth it in my book. Give it a try. You can spam both at once but I would suggest staggered fire for better heat management.
Edit - Pub pug build for pub noob fun I might add.

Run 2xMRM30s on the same torso, for great convergence.

To tweak your build for a bit more potentcy, maybe consider a dead side build like this build. If you don't know what a dead side build is, it's when you put all your weapons on one side of your mech then torso twist to use the 'dead' side to catch any shots and shield your good side.
As for mechs to look at that use MRMs well, the Hunchback HBK-4SP, the Hellspawns that can mount ECM (the non-ECM version can do MRMs too, but ECM is a nice extra layer of defense for newer players), the Griffins (especially the GRF-2N with its ECM and minus the Sparky which lacks missile hardpoints), and the Vindicators if you want to run a single MRM30 or 40 with a cooldown quirk.
Also since you are using standard engines I'd suggest the 280LFE and 300LFE are two engines you might want to invest your c-bills in - the 280LFE is an excellent first 'advanced' engine that can span builds from the 35 ton Huginn (Raven hero) to the 75 ton Bounty Hunter II (Marauder hero) and all sorts of mechs in between (though note the medium mechs that can't run a 280LFE, like the Hunchback 4SP which can only run up to a 275). A 250LFE or 255LFE and a 300LFE are good second and third options for spending c-bills on engines, with the smaller engine if you're leaning towards medium mechs and the bigger engine if you're fond of heavies.

3 Medium Lasers and 2 MRM10s is an anemic amount of firepower for a 55 ton mech. That STD280 is eating up way too much tonnage.
