Third crash within two hours of play.

I laugh a salty, jaded laugh as I do most times when the 'Achieved with CryEngine!" splash screen comes up as I quickly try to rejoin the match.

And then MWO crashes right afterwards.

Many a time has MWO crashed, many a time have I felt the bitterness of rushing to click through the screens popping up trying to sell me the next Mekpak just so I can rejoin the match I was just booted from thats preventing me from using the mech from the LAST mekpak, but never have I had a crash within a crash.

The moral of the story is that yea smearing money grabs in players' faces as they try to rejoin before a light hunts down their disconnect is probably the least effective way of fostering a positive player relationship.

Considering the last time I had a crash on any of my 3 systems was a few months ago, and that was due to a Windows update that reset my driver update to default/on...

And cause I do tab in/out I also play in Full Windowed mode, not Full Screen mode, whether tis MWO or other games.

When Windows installs a driver, it does not always goes well. I prefer to be in control of said updates instead of having it b**8 slap me. After that tis an unstable component. People may not actively overclock their systems but with Turboboost, a laymans temp OC, anything that might no be stable even with that TB will rear its ugly head. Too many variables, voltge, heat, etc.

Full Screen or Windowed mode? If Full switch to Full Windowed. System specs?

Check your rig man. MWO runs with no crashes in months and I do alt-tab to chrome every time I'm waiting in que or loading into a game, all that non-playing times basically.

ADD: also, people often play on laptops, and there is no such thing as gaming laptop despite what advertisements tell you. It is simply impossible to properly cool all that hardware packed in such a small box.

Currently overclocked to 4.3ghz, all systems nominal.

I'm not sure about other games, but when I overclock this graphics card (Nvidia GTX 480, don't laugh) the game will inevitably crash. Same thing goes if I try to OC my ram or change timings (I don't have a matched set is probably why, but free is free)

This computer is about 10 years old, and it has no problem staying in the game, but my performance is limited on the more complex maps.

Check-list:

> Use Steam, not the Portal
> Run in Full/Borderless Window, not Full Screen
> Run in DX11, not DX9

That is flatly untrue; Nvidia's GTX 10-series changed the game.

I think you have a problem with PGI's direct failure to deliver a promised feature..

What am I talking about?

I'm talking about how when splash screens (unit screen, news screen, and pilot info screen) were introduced, PGI promised it would fix the inability to permanently close these screens.. yet.. years later... here we are...

Close the screens.. play a match.. voila.. screens open... close them again, relaunch client.. voila.. screens open.
