Why are you getting a time penalty for leaving a match after being killed? Does it mean you have to sit out and wait for the match to officially finish? This doesn't sound right to me!

There isn't, you did too much team damage that you didn't see because of not waiting for end of match summary.

Probably this... you only get a leaving match penalty if you leave before you are dead.
