So I am sure every one has heard too many posts about why havent I got my key..
but..

Why haven't I got my key yet?

Only reason I ask, is I am curious if its random.. or my pc spec or what..

I signed up.. then the following week hounded my guild mates in TS to sign up..

3 of them have since received invites this week, one last week.

1 of them bought the preorder

2 of them have not..

2 of them are EU based.. 1 US..

So why is it I've been skipped over? Any ideas?

I at this point try to put this game out of my mind.. it too exciting..

but now all my guildies are beta testing....

Thx..

It's random, but nobody without the pre-order should be getting in as far as I know.

Right now, only Founders are being invited.

Prior to the start of the Founder program, everybody had a chance to get in to beta, provided that you had completed the beta survey. Several thousand keys were given out at that point.

It looks like you don't have a founder pack, so you won't be invited until Open Beta starts, but you can still buy a pack and get in - guaranteed - before the 7th of August.

You were born under an unlucky star. There's nothing you can do about your fate. You should never play the lottery or visit casinos.
You are just fated to be one of the unlucky few to never receive anything good in life for free.

Welcome to the club.

Here is how the beta works at the current point in time.

The Beta keys that are going out these days are for Founders Only.
That means that only those who have bought any of the 3 founders packs, represented by the founders tags, will get an invite.
The invites among the founders are are totally random, regardless of PC spec, location or anything else you may think of.

If you do not have a founders pack you will not get into beta before open beta.
The 7th August that everyone talks about is the date what all founders are supposed to be in beta, not when Open Beta starts.
Right now Open Beta has not been announced yet.

Hope this answers your questions.

(And to be perfectly honest I'm getting very tired of repeating the same things over and over again for every single person who dont know how to use the search function. So next time, please for the sake of my sanity use search.)

Them saying it is random does not make it random. It means they are emulating randomness mathematically. So, it asymptotically approaches random based on unknown criteria. The "unknown criteria" plays a huge role in this and depending on exactly what is that "unknown criteria" would tend to define it as more closely approaching random by ignoring its own rules at irregular intervals... or a filter which gives more predictable results. These results in my anecdotal experience have yielded easily made predictions. It is less like an RNG and more like a filter. A name can be slapped on anything. I cite Taco Bell's "taco meat" for example. For it to be called meat, it must contain 20% meat @ minimum. The rest is a patented proprietary filler with zero nutritional value. Do you call it meat too?

Its not so much about posting the answer as it is having the same question asked every few hours, it gets tiresome as I'm sure you can understand. :P
When you searched, did you read any of those threads or did you post when you saw the numerous threads?
If you had red some of those threads it could have saved you having to ask the question in the first place as it has been said so many times. :(

Well if we are going to go there then nothing is truly random and contains with in itself some form of cause and effect. Random in the sense of reaching mathematical reliability.

I can only assume that as the game gets closer to release and more long-standing community members get into the beta and are busy playing the game, we will have to put with more people like this in stoic good faith.

So when I am grinding this axe, it's definitely nothing to do with you. I'm just here. Chillin'. With my axe. Stoic.

What is this key everyone is talking about? Is there no keyless option here? Seems kinda weird to have a key for a machine created in 3000 something :(.
