I have had a kodiak since they where released.
Now i am just dieing dieing and DIEING and i don't like playing the mech anny more. It feels for me like an outdated mech that doesn't live up to its name. Ok its a big mech like the atlas but it doesn't have the armor of an atlas or the annihalator. ok it used to be an OP mech when it was released and i doesn't have to be so good again but just buff it a bit to make it an injoyeable and vaible mech again.
If you read this don't think it is an other guy again that doesn't know how to pilot assault mechs i can assure you i do otherwise i woulden't complain.
I hope you make it vaible again because the are becoming rare on the battlefield

Consider the problem may be newer high-threat mechs like the BloodAsp and Fafnir. It was easy to recognize another Kodiak as a threat, but there are plenty of other mechs you do not want to go toe-to-toe with even if you are piloting a Kodiak.

Not the only reason the primary reason it was OP was the broken UAC10 ghost heat, then PGI went totally nuclear on the revamp and hit UAC10 and other UACs hard. And that ghostheat bug was a long standing bug but until the Kodiak no other mech could effective utilize several of them. Then on the other side IS mechs had no answer for the Kodiak or other Clan mechs equipped with UAC10s in general. isUAC10/20/2 did not go live til June 2017 whereas the Kodiaks were released May 2016.

But what hurt Kodiaks and several weight classes was the engine desync.

I agree, my Kodiaks were serious rubbish. So slow and so easy to target.

I don't run them but when I see a 4xGuass Kodiak and I certainly re-evaluate my approach. Sure it's not a top tier meta mech but it's also certainly a threat and if you bring builds like that the enemy team is certain to be saying things like "That's a quad guass Kodiak kill it with fire quickly please".

I feel like folks here seemed to have really ****** up definitions of worthless and useless. it seems to me if it isn't completely OP it's deemed without value or use instantly by teh choir of power gamers that seem to lurk about.
