Hi MWO fellas,

why the big uproar?

If you play MWO long enough and understand the basics of free-to-pay gaming you can and must understand this constant and radical stat-changes.
The point of it is not balancing the game but changing the meta on and on to sell new stuff.
And to be true (I hate it when they turn my best builds to crap) its the only way to keep this game still interesting.
Every thing else (cw, escort mode, solaris) was so badly planned and implemented that these game-modes failed and became boring after a short time.

And the solution is ....???
Just play your IS mechs again.
I did this move 2 times and was allways impressen how much fun IS still is (more than the over-metaed clans). And how good they are.

And by the way the time in a good mechlab was allways 50% of the fun in Mechwarrior games.

So dont get pissed and take the changes as a wakeup call to change your gaming-style again.
This is at least the only good way to take it.

Have fun.

if stirring the meta is part of the game then why am i using the same laser vomit clan deck after several years? its time for a new weapons system to be king.

also agree that is mechs are a lot more fun. you can use weapons other than lasers and do well. all those mrms and autocannons in my is deck. yum.

Wait...so all the changes, all the nerfs, all the ghost heat and other goofy mechanics installed or proposed over the years has all been just to sell new things? Do you mean to tell me then, that the constant blather from PGI about “balance”, and TTK, and interntally established performance criteria, and data driven changes, and all the rest have all been nothing but LIES?!!!

Well, I am shocked.

Yes it's a rough wold.
And it even went harder when they told me there is no St. Nicklaus and no Easter Bunny (german translation).
But there is a light.
"Battletech" for PC is a very good substitute for MWO.
Not lasting as long as MWO but I didn't touched MWO since release of Battletech.

I heavily disagree with this point.

Because PGI have failed to give the pot a proper stir in recent years, they've listened far too much to Clan Crocodile Tears and Clan Rainbow Laser Vomit Care Bear.

Turn Based vs Real Time is like getting Chocolate ice cream substituted for your request for Vanilla. Both are in fact Ice Cream, but beyond that.... nope not even close. And I do play BOTH games... :)
