Most of the above post for sure.

While I still had mine one build I enjoyed was quad PPC plus ECM on whichever chassis had a PPC quirk. Has the advantage of no shoulder mounts to be shot off but does run pretty hot. I had some very enjoyable battles with that setup and I think you can squeeze some JJ in for bonus mobility? Nothing like an untrackable 100 ton mech shooting quad ppcs from half way up a mountain to piss your enemy off.

You could also try running this build if you got huge donkers.

It can be tricky to brawl in a clan 'Mech because of their reliance on XL Engines, although it's not impossible (hello Warhawk-Posted Image. I don't think the B-Asp is particularly suited for that, it's kind of distinctly tall, the side torsos especially so. I don't own one, but from my impression of them in the battlefield they're not terrible. I tend to see them bring two Gauss Rifles as part of their arsenal - fire your lasers while you charge the Gauss's, then shoot them once your lasers have found their mark.

Edit: Love how the B variant was converted into a pair of sunglasses, that's pretty much how I feel when I take that thing into Solaris :P

Nah my donkers are standard sized...!

Also I'm crap with gauss rifles and I got a refund on my Blood Asps because I was pissed off with the changes they made.

RIP Blood Asp, you were great for a while. <sob>

The Blood Asp thrives on the blood of your comrades. Meat shield your way to victory!

Read: Don't use short range builds

With respect to this thread, I have one build on the Asp that is permanently cemented into my assault rotation. Hint: Its not Gauss vomit. Sorry, IMO both the Mad Cat Mk. II and the Dire Wolf are too much better at it to justify it.
