Everyone is so helpfull, and I have looked through the threads, but there is so much! My pals have have helped me understand a bit about systems, but when I look at the Bare bone systems, they look good, but have a small power supply, and I will want to upgrade next year, and will not want to buy that too.

What I want: A new system, only the desktop, monitors and etc I have.

A system that will run MWO flawlessly, always, under any strange circumstance.

I plan on running 3 monitors eventually

A ability to upgrade my video card to what is now considered "Nice!" , while only buying the video card(unless, buying the power supply and Card later is so much cheaper later, it allows me to get the sytem I want now)

I need my O.S.

I do not play any current games, and I am only getting this for MWO for now. But want at least a quad core or its equivelent.

I do not need a blu-ray, a sound system(for now, I may build a complete cockpit later, but will upgrade then) capable.

I have no preference to make or model, and can put it together with a fella I know.

thanks uncle danno and:I want hard grade functionality, with avidity, not incongruent, not altricity, but convenience productivly. I will enjoy your PC proclivities :D

I have used Tom's Hardware in the past for a guide to hardware.

Video Card -

CPU -

That can get you started. Good luck!

Sorry I can't do it for $500.00 without cheaping out on a few things, and i'm not getting blamed for recommending something that dies on you just after 90 days..
.
MB: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813128521
CPU: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819103727
RAM: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820231536
PSU: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817171052
HD: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16822136795
Optical Drive: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16827135204
Case: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811119196
OS: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16832116986
.
$666.92 ...$687.52 after shipping.... I could do way better, but it would be skimping in areas i'm not getting blamed for..
Also, I have a good friend that has that case, and it is tough as nails if you transport your system for LAN parties or what not, look at all the Pics, I think you will see what I mean.. Also it has a big cut-out in the mother board tray for installing after market CPU coolers without having to install them on the motherboard first, as well as a really sturdy handle on top...
But for $500.00 I can't do it for you chief, you would get components that I won't recommend to anyone wanting something that will last.

If I am reading this right you are going to be using 3 monitors (eventually) and want it to run flawlessly which isn't going to happen for $500 I'm afraid :D

This is what I would save up for if I was going 3 Monitor setup for MWO

Case: NZXT Switch 810 Hybird Full Tower Gaming Case w/ Dual 140MM Pivot Fan Slots and Front USB 3.0

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3930K Six Core 3.20 GHz 12MB Intel Smart Cache LGA2011

Motherboard: Asus P9X79 Pro Intel X79 Chipset, 3-Way SLI / Crossfire supported, 4 Channel DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ 8 RAM slots, UEFI Bios, BT GO, SSD Caching, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, USB3.0, SATA-III RAID, 4 Gen3 PCIe x16 & 2 PCIe x1

Memory: 16GB (4x4GB) PC12800 DDR3/1600mhz Quad Channel Memory (Kingston HyperX w/Heat Spreader)

Video Card 1: NVIDIA GeForce GTX580 3GB 16X PCI Express [-347] (Major Brand Power by NVIDIA)

Video Card 2: NVIDIA GeForce GTX580 3GB 16X PCI Express [+354] (Major Brand Power by NVIDIA)

Video Card 3: NVIDIA GeForce GTX580 3GB 16X PCI Express [+354] (Major Brand Power by NVIDIA)

Power Supply: 1350 Watts Power Supplies [+70] (ThermalTake ToughPower Modular Gaming Power Supply -- SLI / Crossfire ready)

Hard Drive: 240 GB OCZ Agility 3 SATA III Gaming MLC Solid State Disk (Single Drive)

Data Hard Drive: 2TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64M Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive (Single Hard Drive)

£3276.00

That's built and delivered to your door and would play MWO like a dream across 3 monitors but costs A LOT!

$500 is a tough stretch. The only thing I can suggest is doing something like Odin's build minus the vid card, then save up for the vid card before the game launches....oh wait, no vid card listed....you can go less on case, and less on MB. Just go for 1 PCI X slot. Then save up for like a 560ti or something..

edit: just saw the vid card thing about 3 monitors and stuff.....

Ok, forget the triple screen, for now, a year is a long time, and I can piece meal as I need to later, but I do want to have the things that count the most, cost the most, to be quality that will last. I did not know that there were issues with things failing in 90 days, that is good info. I see what you mean about price, this gives me something chew on. Tell me more about this stuff failing, what to avoid. thanks danno

Ok, forget the 3-moniter i guess, but that system would run anything i could imagine, not just MWO. Thanks, so what is the cheapest, stable "recommended requirement" system? thanks, danno

an operating system can really reduce the amount you can spend on the rest

so for a box with only one game in mind, that must have everything including an operating system for under 500$ and still be able to play the game smoothly at the very least on low settings (but will probably do medium easily) here's what I came up with,
http://secure.newegg...Number=15500554

utility needs for hard drive run up to 32 gb, that's including virtual memory overhead and marketing shenanigans with marking gb size improperly leaving you 8 gb left over for games and "pictures". and yes I know it's "refurbished". I buy all hard drives I intend to be regular use refurbished because they're very inexpensive, and out of the last 10 i've bought in 5 years only one is no longer working, and that was because i'm a butterfingers. In terms of "speed drives" or "frequent access storage drives" i'd prefer to buy new and not skimp, and I'd certainly never buy a ssd used unless the memory block was completely replaced.

as far as future proofing goes, the motherboard lets you put up to any am3+ chip, and the power supply should easily handle a 125w thermal cpu and something like a 6850 at the same time. however crossfire is not available. I'm pretty certain a 6850 can run three monitors but one of the monitors has to be display port compatable, you would have to look into that.

I have a 5770 which is basically the older version of the 6770, they are pretty identical in performance and I can run games like skyrim very well with things like anti aliasing and shadows turned down but not off.

the reason why I went a little extra on the motherboard is because as well as being slightly future proofed it also comes with a core unlocker, which means you may get lucky with the tri core and get a quad out of it, if not you still exceed the minimum requirements for this game. Plus when you go under 60$ some manufacturers like to not include a mosfet heatsink to cut costs, which can potentially lead to a thermal runaway, and that's not a very fun way to spend an evening, smelling burnt plastic because the power controllers in your board decided to revolt by melting

undeniably I did skim in the case and drives department, but as far as the case goes it wouldn't be hard to upgrade into a slightly better case sometime down the road

however
http://mwomercs.com/...-for-mwo-1080p/ is much better imo if you don't need to buy an operating system. the 7770 isn't better than a 6850 but costs the same and I'm skeptical of that cpu, technically it runs a lot cooler with a 20% gain in multicore processing power over oh say, a PH2 955, meaning in theory it overclocks well.

so yeah replace that 7770 with a 6850 and you have a very, very nice rig for 500$ minus an operating system, and don't sass me on this, 256 bit memory interface is vastly superior to 128 bit

remember, the key to identifying radeon cards is in the tens and hundreds place, [x]*** denotes generation(higher=newer), *[x]**denotes performance bracket(higher=more performance), **[x]* denotes quality inside bracket(higher=more quality).

I am not opposed to using widows 8 if it is free, i did not know of such things. on another note: I really enjoy using umbuntu, my brother foisted it upon me. I will do what is needed, cause reality says, "ignore wants for the price of needs."

not sure if ubuntu is compatable with this game, i'm no expert on such things. however I can tell you as a gamer windows 8 does not seem like an attractive operating system much in the same way EA Origin does not seem like an attractive content provider. Windows 7 in my opinion will still be the superior system for gaming for a long time to come. Windows 8 however will be better at spying on you and being useful on a tablet you dock at a desktop work station- because the latter thing is the only "feature" that seems different enough to warrant a purchase. you know it reminds me a lot of windows 98 vs windows 2000 to be honest

Okay, $500 with OS? Hope you don't mind Windows 8 beta until you can buy windows 7 or the like.
Case: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811146061
Power supply: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817139026
motherboard: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813157292
CPU: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819103893
GPU: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814102988
RAM: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820103006
HDD: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16822136769
ODD: (see if you can find one from an old PC that will work, the motherboard I suggested does have an IDE port if you need that. Ask around for people with old computers, pick one up for $5 at a PC store, etc.) otherwise: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16827135204
Heatsink: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16835226050
OS: http://windows.micro...S/windows-8/iso 64bit

Best I could do. Windows 8 beta will get you along until you can get a different Windows (i.e. 7)
There are a couple things you can do to reduce shipping, but hopefully it won't be horrible. Namely saving on that Optical drive.

Hope all works well.

No, ubuntu is not supported, did not think it would be. I only mentioned it because it is "free", like windows 8, that is the only reason to consider windows 8 at this time :) , it's all good man, thanks danno
