[Agent of Change]

After several discussion s about the Champion yesterday and today I have come to believe that it could be much improved aesthetically by changing the legs structure to a more 'bird' like design. Some of you may have seen my thread in General Discussion and while that one is meant to be silly, I'm putting this out there because I genuinely think this may improve the look and desirability of the mech.

Most of those i've discussed with have only minor quibbles with the torso and arms but find the overall current look of the mech off-putting. A large part of that is that the torso design is of a kind usually only seen on "bird legs" the sort of fuselage/canopy design and it looks wierd on "standard legs". With more bird like or in a pinch exaggerated dog legs, you would lower the profile and have a mech that instantly looks like it belongs next to other bird leg mechs whereas currently it is not in teh same family as either.

Looking at the sarna art you can see precedent of this sort of artistic change in translation to MWO in a direct sort of way with the stalker:



You can see the choice to have bird legs definitely made that mech pop more. Below for comparisons sake are the Sarna art, the current concept art, and a mock up of Champion with "bird legs" for comparison. (The mock up is not my work, a friend sent it to me and I do not know the original creator to properly credit them)





The poll is simply to gauge opinion and potentially bring a change to the Design of this mech. I can say anecdotally that several people i know have expressed that this change would make a purchase more likely as the current aesthetic is making it a hard pass.
