* MCII-DS feels strong
2xGAUSS 3xERLL 3xERML packs a punch at mid to long range with no Ghost Heat
No significant feeling of a nerf to this adaptable chassis
Was able to alpha roughly 3 times before heatcap by using a coolshot
Gauss recticle shake caused no significant impact to performance as it can easily be worked around (fire lasers, charge gauss and release when laser burn completes)
* IFR-P feels pointless
Pretty much removes the only viable build for this chassis - 5xERML +ECM
Played my heart out in several games and was disappointed by the amount of damage on the end of round screen
Hardpoint cap and low podspace limits build options for the IFR to low weight weapons
* Weapon specific nerfs affect weaker, hardpoint starved mechs disporoportionately more.
Mechs like the MCII can easily adapt to whatever changing weapon balance state the game is in. Mechs like the IFR on the other hand would functionally be removed from the game by this change
Generally I would say the proposed changes fall far short of achieving their stated goals.
Either give these changes a major rethink or release them simultaneously with a full and generous quirk pass of all clan chassis to account for mechs such as the IFR, BKL etc.
