This is in regards to the current PTS Alpha Balance going on right now and how its failed to achieve any of what it set out to do..and instead make things worse for a huge amount of Clan mechs. the sad thing is...didnt we have THIS REALLY WELL BUILT list of weapon stat changes that a HUGE portion of the MWO gaming community came together"pros and pubs alike" to create something PGI could actually role with right out the gate? looked something like THIS???!! i think i remember PGI commenting on it, and even going as far as to say they would " take it into consideration and see about implementing parts", of which they accepted it from the creators and its been...what...like 6 months since then? PGI, where you hiding the Community Spread SHEET?

If you check the trash can in Paul's office I think you'll find it.

Relevant quote:
“This touches on a community based balance document that has just started circulating. That document is a full upward trajectory of power creep. This does NOT mean there isn’t valuable information in there. There are some number changes we can make and underutilized weapon systems pointed out in the document and the points made about them are very useful feedback that we will address as we move forward.”
The disheartening part is of course that the PTS -and thus the presumed direction of where PGI would like to take the values- has far greater proportional power lowering values (nerfs) than any of the so called “full upward trajectory of power creep” that the values in the community balance document represents (with the possible exception of the proposed buffs to small an er small lasers). On the other hand, at least they do give lip service to changes that they could make to underutilized weapons systems, so there is that to be hopeful about. We shall see.

PGI mentality:
Nerf the overperformers, reduce TTK.
"Community" mentality:
Buff the underperformers, leave my Alphastrikes alone!
Both have the same goal, better balance but differ in their goals.

Where did it go? Right into the circular filing cabinet is where it went.
How dare us plebs try to make THEIR game better.

If the above were the *only* two choices, I'd go with PGI's. Alpha strikes are the Debil!
