Basically a giant flying brick. It can stay in the air forever, and has no ammo dependency, and fire's a Gauss Rifle equivalent in damage energy weapon. Basically meant to hover and strafe.

Edit: I think with Engine and armor adding up to near 90 tons the program is a bit buggy.

I remember reading or viewing they only plan to include Mechs, no tanks or other craft initially. What are the flying vehicles called anyway? Airmechs?

called aerospace fighters. air mechs are transforming aerospace fighters called LAMs. I noticed your program had power ampilfiers whice is for vtol or atmospheric craft. I believe Hellcat and hellcat II have the flying brick title. the Heavy PPC is not good in a air fight. A 30t with a 10thrust and large pulse laser would eat you up. something that slow needs a rear firing weapon. Also aerospace fighters don't hover over battle fields and can be shot down or forced to make a pilot check and crash.
