CW is not a good indicator of balance and never will be, because of how its designed, what kinds of players it attracts, and of course the level of influence big faction-swapping units have over it.
Thanks captain.
Much like comp is a meter on what mechs are meta, Faction is a meter on how well the median works. To debate that on here is meaningless, as this is the internetz and more especially the MWO forum. I'm just saying it's super cute, and has been for 6+ months.
Further it is an aspect of the game. Yes, obviously big heads are going to say it's the Mercs that decide the sway, but that is only partially the truth Fup.
Case in point, an IS mix pug can haphazardly wade through a point defense throwing their first 2 waves of mechs into what should be withering fire and wipe out every single objective - there is really not a lot that you can do, despite successfully landing "OP clan damage" as they do not die and can just more or less ignore you. Leaving the enemy team to decide if they want to wipe out Omega with their heavies, or just farm and then take it out with their lights.
I have seen it repeatedly, many times.
It doesn't (or rarely) go the same way or vice versa. On the exact same map, a Clan team of similar or better skill will get wiped.
It's laughable and tiresome at the same time. Also laughable that you always seem to cater to the same narrative all the time.
I mean with that reasoning, we might as well get rid of Solaris and Faction, since they don't really "factor" into balance.
