I am sadly missing the Fire Moth. It was a nice little pain in the ***.
It was very fast, had some nice loadouts. Just lightly armoured, but that was okay if you looked at it's speed.
It was a first wave invasion Mech, so I am asking myself why it hasn't been implemented till now.
I gues I am not the only one who would like to see this mech ingame.

Many people have been asking for that for years now. The problem is that PGI is using a crappy engine (they cheaped out on us) that cannot handle mechs running as fast as the Firemoth can run. Simple as that. We might finally get it after the game switches to the U4 engine instead, but that will not happen for at least a year though.

One solution to get the Firemoth/Dasher into the game would be to replace the fixed MASC with fixed ECM. I don't think anyone would complain about that. Hardpointwise it's nowhere near as deadly as the Piranha, so ECM also won't make it overpowered, especially since most of it's hardpoints are in the arms which will again be very big (see Mist Lynx). The only drawback is that it makes the ECM in the B variant right arm obsolete, but they could replace that by another 1 or 2 ballistic HP.

no it's got some mean srms in the center torso at least the prime does.

it's got some pretty mean builds even without MAsc (which would free up a bunch of weight it may not be a piranha, but it's gonna be a locust on steroids....

No it's got some mean srms in the right torso and right arm in the prime variant.

The CT is a fixed structural slot and a fixed MASC. Unless PGI decides to release the Dasher with 19t they need to replace the MASC with something that weights 1t and takes 1 slot. Like ECM. Or a Small Pulse Laser, or a Medium Laser.

Or use a better game engine like they should have been doing from the start.

We all know. The Firemoth runs at 162 kph but can get up to 216 kph with MASC and the Aletha hero has ECM in the left torso. Enough said.

I think they could find a workaround for that problem. That means, IF PGI wants to impove their engine and/or solve some problems.
It is a nice classical Invasion mech, wich really would give us some new options in building fw-decks, that is why the 20t weight are good in fact. At least that is my opinion.

They are building MW5 on the Unreal4 engine which is an older and very solid engine. Our hope is that MWO will be switched to it and thus no longer have that speed limit which will allow for the Firemoth to be added.

I hope they fix bugs too if they were to do that.
