the game is basically dead ... the active player cound is on the xxx numbers ... nothing compared to what this game once was ...
the only reason why the game is alive is becouse some people sent so much money into this game that they cant leave just becouse of it
and most people that play this game right now deffinetly spent more than 2000 €on it
but anyway ... yall gonna say the game is not dead even when only 50 people play it

LRM's are more nurtured and ineffectual than they ever have been. There are game modes that have features that down play LRMs. Maps that make LRM's extremely situational. The heat buff was not enough to make IS LRM boating viable and the clan didn't need the buff in the first place. The spread nerf to the clan LRM's made the damage spread like butter over titanium armor. Thank good for the ammo buff because you need it for the extra three minutes it takes to feather the armor of the most meager of mechs. Its like walking in a spring rain now. LRM 5's have been extinct for almost a year now and they nerfed the clan ones anyway which dose not matter anyway because you cant fire enough of them to overcome minimal amounts of AMS.
Stop being a clown.

You just have groups purposely trying to break the game.
Their goal is simple.
To get PGI to overreact and nerf LRM's into the ground.
Even further.
LRM's have never been a meta weapon in this game.
Ever.
However when you can have multiple LRM2000 clan mechs then there is a problem.
And to a lesser extent IS mechs.
Just add poptarting narc'er and it a rainy day.
I tend to run mixed builds on all my mechs, because I like brawl a bit too.
But going full potato is just plain old trolling and it benefits no one.
Good one for the trolls, glad I've never joined those ranks.

Meanwhile energy and ballistics don't have a counter which is why they are always used in the meta.

You ever stop crying and complaining? People enjoying their over-buffed LRM's, now that's bad too? Getting your own medicine back? Getting lurmed too much? Seen you on a battlefield few times, you usually piloting a potato lurm boat..

Just this morning I decide to take out a few different mechs that I haven't skilled up and one of them was my Archer 5W, and we ended up on Polar Highlands. I'm running 2xLRM20s, a NARC, and some streaks for close range defense. Because I'm NARCing my targets I'm less than 500m away from the enemy and with my team, and I guess about halfway through the match a Jenner runs through our team to get to me and is able to kill me (I was already hurting from getting targeted by a Marauder IIC and I think a Highlander earlier in the match) so I shrugged, saw that I'd done decent damage so felt that I'd done my job, and knew my teammates were able to finish off the Jenner shortly afterwards. I relaxed and began to watch the rest of the match.
Then in allchat the guy in the Jenner shows a complete lack of class by saying something to the effect of killing 'the LRM tard' to which I'm puzzled because I was amongst my team, sharing damage, and NARCing my own targets. I wasn't halfway across the map raining down LRMs. Even though our team won and I was only dropping in it to get the 2xXP bonus, I dropped in it one more time instead of moving on to my next mech just for the heck of it.
A couple games later I was in my SRM Summoner and saw an LRM Stalker raining LRMs from 800+ meters away. I didn't insult him, I snuck up on his flank and took him apart with my SRMs. I also didn't die doing it because his team was nowhere near him. I think it was the following game after I'd died I cringed as I watched an LRM Mad Dog on my team do under 100 damage as he fired streams of LRM5s into mechs with dual AMS.
LRMs are not scary. They can be damage dealers if you get caught out of position, but I'm more annoyed by the Laser Alpha meta that is more difficult to counter. I don't know how many times I've been cored out by a poking Marauder IIC, Ebon Jaguar, Hellbringer, etc. that just fits the big laser alpha for the peek and hide game.

You can try doing rush tactics, but using Inner Sphere lurm boats I've seen Linebacker rushes killed on these maps (and only the four maps I mentioned above, on any other map LRM's can be countered in FP), because they're open enough they can force the linebackers / rushers into a few hundred meters of open terrain, and in those few hundred meters they are utterly crushed. The LRM mechs just need to stand a bit apart, and because they're all assault mechs, they don't exactly go down fast. Just fire on Linebackers at least 180 meters from you, and you'll lose a few mechs, but you'll beat back the first wave and be up several mechs.
This is just my experience, but LRM's are really broken IMO on Polar, Caustic, Boreal, and Alpine in Faction Play.

I think you are confused. This game has been "mostly dead" for a very long time..... Since I've been here, the game was suppose to be "totally dead" at least 12 times....
You do realize that this is an extreme niche market??? Whales are buying "everything offered" in multiple sets for multiple accounts and don't really play anymore.... I know several.... they buy but really don't play.
Only the new or the older vets are left..... The rest of us only visit for events if the pay enough.......See, MWO can't be killed: it just is "mostly dead" most of the time......... If you want a possible serious complication for MWO, FO76 drops in November and there are a "bunch of us" headed that way full-time and my account, will remain open but, at most, one day a month of play..... that seems to be the only thing that could hurt MWO: another game. MW5??? BT did do anything serious.

Nope, and I run half baked potato boats.
Novakaine never goes full potato.
So pump your hate brake.
Am I not entitled to an opinion?
