Is it just me or does the target lock reticle for clan missiles make it harder to see the target for direct fire?
I saw some Google results for mod's but I really don't like getting into those. It would be really nice to see an update with some additional options. Reticle type, transparency, color etc.

The ui has had many requests and rants since closed beta days. I've had many potential team mates and pgi potential spenders quit for simple things such as color blind support, text size being far to small to see, text color bleeding way to much into the back ground. "Dude, how much ammo does my ac have? I can't read the yellow ammo counter against this shity yellow bar thing." Even a simple option to relocate the hud elements so wow and other mwo players can find the screen easier to read.
I won't even start on the mess of mini map like the obvious "I can't zoom in on mini-map?!" or "What are those moving icons on my radar?"

Best part is when you spent all your ATM-s, but target still get locked with GIANT circle

This is the game you need to play despite the UI. With such genious decisions like a colorblind option which adds lines of the color which is the most common problem for colorblind people. I don't expect anything anymore if they somehow think that works (I mean, how could any sane person say it's a colorblind option if it adds things in the color people can't see!). Remember some thread a few years back i believe about changing the armor on the paperdoll, that's considered an exploit .... (Yeah, really exploiting the game if you can actually see stuff which other people have no trouble seeing).

Looks like I touched a sensitive subject.

I mostly don't use lock-on weapons due to the way the targeting reticle behaves - it really distracts me and covers up the target I am aiming my other weapons at.
I'd happy if I can just allow turn off the reticle reaction and just rely on the audio prompt. I can even pick up on the radar derp ping quite easily.

I'm not really interested in SSRM and right now the only mech I'm seriously running LRMs on is my MAD II-C-D. I run x2 LRM10+A just to give me a chance to contribute while positioning and keep up the DPS when they start to get away. Right now I'm just getting rid of the lock if it becomes problematic but try not to for obvious reasons.
