I highly disagree with this.. there is no need for a nerf on IS assaults.. definitely the fafnir, CT is already pretty dang squishy even torso twisting does not protect the CT!!! it is still easily targeted .. I see no logic in this. Other than Lurmers can do more dmg and kill these assaults faster... Sounds like something PGI would do..

It's because these are the popular mechs for 2x heavy gauss that are overperforming in faction play. It's unfortunate because they're arguably balanced for quickplay, but this is the compromise for clan laser nerfs.

I understand what you are saying completely. But at the same time nerfing the Fafnir which is not able to be purchased with MC nor Cbills..People and my self spending between 40-70 $ Can I get a REFUND!!! waste of cash now and tbh pretty harsh thing to do from PGI.

It's to test the viability of the Clan weapon nerfs. That's all. It's only restrained to the PTS and is by no means guaranteed to make it to the live client.
It's a give and take from both sides.

Also. in every match I've played with IS assaults they just walk over the Clan assaults like they don't exist.

So the Bushwacker armor nurf. Fine, I get that. Its not that bad. The Ani's well I would say just drop it 5 armor since I snipe their heads all the time. The Faf and Cy's though!? Come on...I have no issues killing these two. The Faf is so easy to kill, huge hit boxes. The Cy cannot tank alone without getting creamed. 1v1 a Cy will die to any 100 tonner if the skill is the same. The whole reason why its good is not because its armor its because the ones driving the thing still can torso twist. Want proof? Duel Gauss both the Cy Slep with the Faf, Ani, or NightS in Solaris with both equal average players and you will find the Cy on average will lose that fight...why? Less Armor. Nurfing this and the Faf...not good.
