Thats either surprisingly fast, or surprisingly slow, dependning on if you own pgi or not.

for the rest, it's either die-hard-meta or have fun and lose a lot. except for the real talented or the rare occasions 2 "wanna have fun" people meet.
I don't mind it, and I play S7 in between quite a lot (losing a lot against the metacheese-crew, still having fun), but .. it's dead, jim.
a shame really, since the basic idea is sound and fun; just that it's implementation is on PGI-level (aka quite horrible).

Solaris or any event in Solaris aren't in the equation at all. Sorry, there's 40-ish of us and we want to come back but, Geesh.....what a mess.

PGI please invest more time there for the 5 guys still enjoying it!!
Meanwhile FP couldn't retain the thousands that played it - nothing to see here, crash burn and ofc preorder MW5 lololol

I was never much into S7, but I completed the event (well, full solo part of it anyway), and had several matches in 1st season, but it always felt really strange. Like every single time victory or loss was decided during announcement, when our mechs are shown. From loadout and chassis comparison, I knew with 90% probability how match would turn out, and during actual fight it was like just watching autocombat, when you already aware of result.
How can something be fun, when whole game is designed around rock, paper, scissors, and there could never be balance for 1v1 even close, plus completely different weight classes for Division, that just doesn't make any sense tbh... Even FP Scouting feels more engaging than S7.

having that many buckets divide up the player population is absurd

Fortnite has millions playing. Mechwarrior Online: Solaris 7 has crickets chirping.

Maybe a FFA mode would have been better received. Not sure it could have done worse.....

Mystere I expected so much more than this garbage from you.
"It works in Fortnite so MWO should do it!" They're not even remotely close enough in architecture for such a translation to be anywhere near possible, let alone plausible. Fortnite's complexity and variety is tantamount to a well-lit, narrow tunnel versus the pitch-black winding bush maze of dead ends, booby traps and mech packs held within MWO.
Besides... We all know that kind of Solaris would end with stealthed IS Lights hiding in shrubbery until the the last couple guys are easy pickings. The pinnacle of excitement being 2+ stealthed IS Lights at the end... What a suspenseful twist of fate!

People have been clamoring for a free-for-all Solaris since the beginning. Instead we got this (arguably) failure, or in other words, garbage!
Maybe PGI should have listened? <shrugs>
