This begs the question of why???
Personally, I think 1250 works well as it puts a lot of pressure on teams to make sure they keep control of the objectives and map Vs. merely focusing mechs. In QP it almost always turns into the team that focuses the LEAST on capping early wins...they just deathball, get a kill lead, finish remaining mechs and then cap at the end. In FW, that strategy will lose you most matches...because the ticket count is so low.
I could see going to 1500 at most...maybe...but it ain’t really broke at 1250, in that it makes it a mode where you just have to play differently and focus on map and objective control. 2500 just would turn it into skirmish....which we already have in FW (heck, assault in FW is also “skirmish”)

I suggested it to Paul in the other thread, but I think tomorrow would be too early to see it implemented.
Hopefully it does go through though, 1250 often ends it when there's some good fights still going on, even when both teams are focusing on playing the objective. 1500 should be fine imo.

1500 sounds just right, 2500 is way to much

I like the 1250 limit. In FP conquest it means you can yolo pretty hard and and win. To double the limit is basically turning it into a death match.

I'd prefer to leave it because right now it is at a spot where both teams normally have 6 or more mechs left on the field and it really stresses map control. It is also currently somewhat rare for a team to lose all 48 mechs before the 1250 cap threshold. If it really needs to be moved, I'd say 1350 max.

FP is the last bastion of Conquest where it does play like a Conquest, with different gameplay. Turning everything into Skirmish is not as fun as some people think it is.
Increasing the cap limit will turn it into another skirmish mode, which is bad.

Just throwing out some ideas that occurred to me, each with pros and cons that could lengthen the mode without just increasing the limit and also make it a bit more unique for FP:
Remove 1-2 capture points. Positioning of remaining points would be crucial to prevent snowballing being worse.
Add destructible objects that remove points from the enemy, ala domination.
Have the points accumulate as something that is picked up and has to be moved to your base or a drop-off location. Could be faction specific or generic and let it drop on death and the enemy can pick it up.
Though that last one seems more like its own FP mode than a modification of conquest.

It's good that conquest mode in Faction Play forces you to play the objective, but cap amount is just too small for a 25 minute game. The matches wind up being shorter than Quickplay. I would try 1,500 like others have suggested here.

Yes 1500 would be good. 1250 is a little bit too short imo.
