I remember when I was a kid, and saw the War Dog's CCG picture and being like "Wow, that looks terrible."

Well, here I am at 31 and to this day occassionally the goofiness of this drawing that probably took half an hour has stuck with me, and I want to see the MWO-ified. Plus the hardpoints arent that bad (blah blah blah they are all the same at this point).

So make it happen, go forth.

But this time, lets have the intestinal fortitude to NOT give it the Nova torso treatment. Lets keep these stilt shoulders and run with it.

Or just play more clan mechs, whatevs.

Arms so low that would be worse than a CTF to play. Would need some serious quirks imo.

Well firstly the mech would need a twistable waist, which would alter the look considerably.

Secondly I am not sure that it would be a better ECM heavy than the Cataphract-0XP or the Thanatos. Because of inherent weight limitations you are unlikely to effectively use energy, missile and ballistic hardpoints on a single design.

When converting this design to MWO you would need to both move the leg streak launchers into the torso and convert them to standard vs. one shot variants. Their genesis as leg weapon should have either the height and or tube count quite low. In that respect you are better off with the Thanatos.

Don't think the War Dog would come out looking the way you want. Most of the IS mechs end up looking pretty much the same as they lose their most distinguishing features in the conversion to the game. Look at the Victor and the Highlander! wtf happened? Even the Mauler, which I've always thought of as a tall mech, is as squat as an Awesome.

Some mechs come out looking pretty good, but the silhouettes are certainly indistinct in a lot of cases.

You're preaching to the choir, if the choir was a group of great grandchildren of several generations of choirs, who have sung for those generations about the generic and compacted appearance of iconic designs in MWO and passed those songs down to the current choir, to whom you are now preaching.

I'd take the Defiance over that tbh. Just a cooler looking Whammy tho.

Is it skinny and chicken walking? You might be a Clan mech if... See? It is all about personal preferences.

Besides, the latest releases such as Champion, Vulcan, Flea, Fafnir... don't fit your description, so look forward to em.

What I found most amusing, is that for mechs that actually have a distinct silhouette features like shoulders of the Fafnir, PGI pre-emptively created a mech with very similar features from a distance, the Sunspider. It's like they're actively trying to not make things distinctive sometimes.
