For this event on of the tasks has you earn a defensive kill, from my understanding that is earning a kill against a mech that is capping your base. I have done this numerous times already (killed the mech while there in the cap), and I haven't earned a single Defensive Kill. Am I misinterpreting something or are the Defensive Kills not being counted?

I killed one mech on our base 10mins ago.
Got the credit for it on rewards page already.
It's working far as I can see.

In one game I was waiting all the time behind our cap. I saw I killed one player at our cap. I nearly killed another but as my weapons were cycling he was killed by someone else. Yet in scores I saw I got two defensive kills. But usually the few enemies who managed to push through our team, came in small group, so I poked behind cover, and dropped strikes too, so maybe my strike got a kill I didn't saw.
Anyway it does seem to work. Few games later I got one or two more. Did you let the enemy start the capping, so that the warning comes off?
