Greetings in the name of Jorgensson and Tseng.
Clan Ghost Bear International will be hosting a private event* for all clan loyalists. We invite you to bring your mechwarriors to our TS3 server cgbi.mainvoice.info:8501 on Saturday, September 15th at 9pm Eastern Time. This event will be featuring star vs star combat in Summoners. Dare you answer this Batchall?
Send your unit name and the name of your commanding officer with your confirmation of attendance to snowlock57@gmail.com no later than 23:59 EST September 8th
*the goal of this event is to foster relationships between the loyalist units, not to compete in a super competitive setting.
Rules and details are as provided below.
This event is limited to Clan loyalist units. No mercs, no Inner Sphere.
Expected tournament time is 2-3 hours.
Event will not be held unless participation reaches 6 units or more.
All mechs used in the Summoning tournament will be Summoners. Any variant, weapon, consumable, or skill node are allowed.
Each match will be on a map selected at random using a random number generator at the beginning of the matches round. Teams will not know the map until they have selected their mechs and readied up. All matches for a given round will be on the selected map.
All matches will be set to 10 minutes and domination mode.
Pilots will be given 5 minutes between matches before the map is picked to refit their mechs.
Each unit may bring as many pilots as they wish, with a minimum of 5 pilots. Each unit will field a maximum of 5 mechs per match (or as many as they can up to 5).
Each unit will have a pool of 15 mechs to draw from for the entire tournament. When a mech is destroyed, it will be subtracted from that teams pool. A unit may not field more mechs than they have remaining in their unit's pool.
A unit who fails the matches objective will lose mechs from their pool equal to the amount fielded at the beginning of that match, regardless if they have surviving mechs or not.
A unit may not choose to bring less mechs then they have available in order to save them for the next match. A unit may however, elect to match the mech count of an enemy who cannot field a full star. They can not go below their opponent's mech strength.
A unit will be removed from the tournament once their mech pool reaches 0.
In the event that there are an odd number of units remaining at the beginning of a round, the unit with least mechs left in their pool will receive a bye round. In the event of a tie for least amount of mechs left in the pool, a coin flip will be used.
The tournament may be streamed and or broadcasted. Any use of timing delays is up to the discretion of the broadcaster. Spectators must use at least a 2 minute delay.
The last two units remaining in the final round will receive prizes. Prizes will be five 3,000 MC gift packages for the victorious unit. The defeated unit of the final round will receive five 1,250 MC gift packages for their unit. Each clans representative will publicly select the 5 recipients of that clans prizes.
Any unit participating may send volunteers to officiate drop lobbies as needed. These officials will not be allowed to compete, and will not be allowed to officiate matches involving their own unit.
