Hi Y'all. I will save some of you the time ... git gud. ok now then. I must (hopefully) be missing something in my setup. I am trying to skill up some heavies n assaults to get a couple of FP decks going n dive in. I'm tanking badly and not in the good way (although I DO absorb helluva lot of damage).
When I play lights n mediums, sensitivity set to .1 so I am not shooting past my targets.. Achprime 1.1 kd / asn101 1.56kd, fla15(not done skilling it) only .77/ fs9k 1.19/ kfxc 1.45 kd/ Pir1 1.44 / phx2 .92 / K9 1.3 etc etc. so I can handle my own it seems. hell even in my pb its .87 over 464 matches.
heavies, my warhammers 6d .73/ 6r .85 / tdr5ss .47/ cpltk2 .43. only my hellbringerprime is 1.01
assaults ah1x .78/ blr1g .53 / malmx90 .54 / stkfb .67
unless I wanna piss off my own team in FP n just run lights n med's (not my wish) something needs to give/change. My stats (not really the issue but mentioning) have dropped last season something fierce as I tried to play around with unliked mechs n figure out wth is going on.
my issue seems to be this: sensitivity needs to be set low enough that my spazzyb1tch like self isn't spreading damage all over the field, but when it is set that low, I pretty much stand there waiting to turn/twist and am dead. if I increase sensitivity where the torso can twist.. I cant hit Richard. when I move to the target, the reticule goes way past even though I try to stop on target.
so any ideas? I would REALLY appreciate anything that might help. (yes, git gud, learn to aim, nub etc etc etc. it's all good) if it really IS learn to aim I will suck it up n figure it out but even with the desync, doesn't seem there should be that much of a gap in performance between my light/med and hvy/fatties.
Thanks in advance.

Get a mouse that can switch between different sensitivity levels.

I have my mouse set to lower sensitivity to be pin point too. I suggest when turning torso, turn legs at same time, or while dumping fire turn legs in direction you want torso and hit C button. I can’t stress how much using the C button like this can help your twisting game.

The twist + legs is the best way to go. Most of my heavies and assaults are limited by torso twist speed over mouse sensitivity speed, so the only way to twist faster is to turn legs at the same time.

What are your in-game mouse settings? Agree on the default C to center torso. Also change Arm Lock keypress (TEMP lock or unlock Arms from torso to move them separately or to lock them to torso to line up shoots. Dependent on your Default setting) to Arm Lock Toggle, thus not having to keep a keypressed. Useful with humanoid mechs with beefy arms to be able to move them to help protect that side torso if a player defaults to Arm Lock which makes it easier to line up shoots for both arm/torso mounted weapons.

All good tips, but one thing to remember is that the bigger the mech, the slower it moves in all respects. Idealy your mediums are watching your back and flanks so you can concentrate on bigger targets.

I have arms always set to manual release, so they are locked unless needed, as it seems unlocked the twisting is even slower.
Cannot believe I never thought to use C as I usually have legs turned already from torso to try and help move out of return fire/lurms. Will be trying that tonight.
Thank you !!!

Get a bigger mouse pad. Alternatively use higher sensitivity but use arm lock to slow down aiming when in Light/Medium.
