Get proper antivirus solutions people, even the built in AV in Windows is better than Avast. Not sure about Adaware but I'd not place my bets on that too.

I would not trust Windows Defender either. It is much better to get a well-known, third-party solution which avoids striking so easily on any form of 'False Positive' issues. For example, Eset's NOD32, which happens to also have Offline Installers. That way, you can disconnect from the Internet while installing, so you are not vulnerable during the initial load of the AntiVirus Program Package. (NEVER trust a so-called "Live Installer", as those leave you vulnerable due to the requirement of an Internet Connection during the initial load.) It will obviously need the Internet after that to Update the Virus Definition Database that is kept locally on your computer, but you will at least not leave your computer open to attack at any time by doing it that way.

This said, if someone is unable to get anything else... even Eset's NOD32... Then I pray people don't get hit while using something like Windows Defender.

Please note - there will also be an update to the MWO Portal before/during the hotfix. This update fixes a minor issue with the desktop icon.

Thanks for the heads-up. Got some other things going on here right now, but I'll patch that as soon as I'm safely able. Posted Image

Finally got it loaded. I happen to like how you made the Small Icon more legible. Thank you, Krist Smith! :D

As for this.......

Thanks for the hotfix.. it hit just at the about the only time of the day I had the chance to play my accounts.. so I could not.. no 400 MC and cockpit items for me.. :/

Go raise hell on the Event Thread @ https://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/268110-jade-falcon-vs-clan-wolf-mini-campaign/ ... I knew I wasn't kidding about there needing to be 48 Hours per each Challenge Phase. :(

I'm having issues after this hotfix, can't launch the game from steam, says I need to patch, but isn't showing me how to patch, acts as if allready patched, but won't let me in the game..

Please help..

I'm launcing from steam and getting the bug..

I'm gonna try update the portal an see if I can launch.. this is stupid..

Edit:

So apparently, I patched the portal and am able to launch the game, but I can't launch from steam. Looks like Steam has no idea there was a hotfix that needs to be updated..

Please help!

Hi there, DevilWoman... Have you tried to use Steam's "Verify Integrity Of Game Files", located within the Properties of a particular game? If not, you might wish to try that. If you don't know how to do it, search for "verify steam game install" on any well-known search engine. The answer turns up quickly on Google, just to name one option.

Sometimes it takes a while before Steam realizes that there is a patch. A proven way to force patch downloads is to restart the Steam client. Just make sure MWO is marked as a priority for updates to make stuff easier in case something else patches too.

Just a head's up..

The betty / angry clansman / commander dude still tells me that the enemy took theta 20 times in a row..

Also, I saw a bug where I capped a point, it was blue by a good sliver, and the points counter did not take that into account, and then I had to re-capture it to make it count..
